00013 給自己的一封信

阿忠，

前幾天我給你媽媽撥了一通電話，和她聊聊天。由於最近工作非常忙碌，我想我也有兩個星期沒有和她閒聊了。電話那一邊的她顯得很開心。你媽媽跟我聊了很多事情。許多關於親戚朋友的近況她都細細的對我說。我們有的沒的聊了二十分鐘。

後來我隨口問她你弟妹的情況。她忽然靜了下來。她告訴我家里最近靜得很。你大弟換了一份工。為了節省開消上個星期他們倆夫婦搬離老家，到你弟媳公司附近住。你也知道小弟買了然房子，放工後，就忙著粉刷他的新家。夜了，他都在新家過夜。你和你妹妹又常年在外地工作，甚少回家。家里只剩下你爸爸和你媽媽。爸爸媽媽週日忙完工作之後，都會覺得家里特別的靜。媽說少了幾個人在家，不會再這樣的熱鬧。

我聽了也為你媽感到難過。以前孩子小的時候還留在家，可能兄弟姐妹多，多少都會吵架。有時真的巴不得他們全部搬出去。如今，孩子大了，開始離開家，那種舍不得的感覺開始涌出來。人很多時候就是犯賤。擁有的時候不珍惜，失去了才明白其可貴。
我和媽聊了好久，放下電話的時候，她吩咐我告訴你常拔電話回家。老人家不會告訴你他們有多想你，但是他們的行動卻告訴你他們還是愛你的。
好了，不多說，就此停筆。

00011 學習

前一陣子，公司里的工作特別的忙碌。我差不多週日天天加班到晚上七八點鐘。那一些曰子情緒也非常緊張，經常處於高壓狀態。我一個人除了要負責結構設計，預備報告還要兼顧同事繪製的平面圖。這一忙，也讓我的身體狀態一直往下滑。過度的壓力，曾一度讓我想逃避。

終於把手上的工程設計初步的完成，也呈交上建屋局核審。這個時候我終於可以透透氣，恢復我過往的生活時鐘。這一陣子我也開始重新思考我個人工作的能力。重新思考赶工的日子，如此這樣的工程我也無法承受其壓力，那就更不用說要一個人擔當更大的工程。就以我的上司來說，他所承受的壓力肯定比我大，然而他卻很坦然的面對。在面對問題的時候，他都非常積極的面對和處理。那不慌不亂的態度，就是我所缺乏的。

經驗使一個人可以更加成熟，也讓人更加積極的面對生活的挑戰。今天臨下班前，我留了一句話于我的同事。趁年輕，好好的裝備自己，盡量從別人的經驗中學習，這樣才不會走冤枉路！

00010 Trip to Shanghai

朋友看了上海的照片，很多都會說一句話：＂你難得會把自己包裹的緊緊＂三月的上海，恰好是春季的中段。氣候仍然屬於寒冷。記得第一天抵達上海的時候，天氣非常的晴朗。早上的天氣，非常清爽。氣溫接近十多度。然而因為有陽光反而不覺的特別寒冷。接近中午的時候，我開始覺得酷熱，逐漸把外套脫掉，剩下一件衣服。別看冷風陣陣，不怎麼樣，但是陽光依然射傷我的皮膚。
沒有體會過四季的生活，三月在上海旅行也算是不錯的體會。享受在寒冷的天氣里，享受熱騰騰的咖啡，享受呼一口氣，可以看到蒸汽，享受穿上棉衣，走在大街上。

Most of my friend will said: wow, we hardly see You wearing shirt with sleeve! When they view my Shanghai picture. It was middle of spring when I visiting Shanghai. The daily temperature was just around 10 degree plus on the first day I arrived Shanghai. The weather was nice on that morning, even with sun light, I never felt hot. I took off my jacket during the noon time.
I never experience before how four season country life is. Therefore I enjoy this trip. I enjoyed having a cup of coffee in the cold weather, enjoyed wearing sweater and walked on the street. I wish that in future, I can visit Shanghai agains.

00009 wifi @ Shanghai

上海旅行的時候，每一次要上網查看信件的時候，都要會到酒店把電腦連線到wifi。回來新加坡之後，把照片上載到面子書的時候，朋友提醒我原來上海到處都有wifi。一個公共電話亭都有wifi設備，讓那些旅行的人突然就方便起來。這個提醒，也提醒我原來生活里很多時候，我對周遭的環境並不敏感。一些朋友就是喜歡說我眼睛是公雞眼。
一個國家可以吸引遊客，其中一個原因就是其設備。如果一個國家可以為遊客提供一些基本的設施，遊客肯定對這個國家留下美好的印象。一個國家不需要把自己打扮成聖誕樹，告訴別人他有多美。給別人留下美好的印象，就足以提高遊客流動量。

When I travelled to Shanghai, everyday I had to go back to hotel get the wifi service so that I can check my email. After I returned to Singapore, I posted some picture on my Facebook. A friend of my reminded me that there is wifi service everywhere in Shanghai. There are wifi service at public telephone area. This make those who travel around without 3G service more comfortable as people can access to Internet to get the information they want. This incident had remind me that I'm not sensitive to my surrounding. No wonder some of my friend like to tease me as I have cock eyes.
A country can attract tourist into their country partly because of their facility. Tourist will have a good image about the country they visit and willing give commentary to their friend. This will help to increase more tourist into the country.

00008 懷念的日子

忙碌的生活，有時候會很懷念不用上班的日子。
把身邊的工作放在一邊，自由自在的活動。
不需要在乎別人如何看待自己，只要這個時刻開心。
今天不知明天事，把握當下最實在！

Sometimes I miss the time when I was on holiday.
Keep aside my work, and do whatever I want.
I need not to care how people look at me, as long as I'm happy all the time.
We never know what will going to happen tomorrow, we should appreciate what we have at the moment!

自從來新加坡工作之後，我的體重就不曾下降過。或許是因為新加坡的生活環境，一個小島，無法去任何地方走走。結果生活除了出來吃飯還是吃。一小段的烏節路走到多美歌，就可以吃個不停。從午餐，到下午茶，到糕點，小吃接著就是晚餐。一個短短的週末下午就消費在吃的時間里。可能吃多了，加上又舉重現在的體重開始往上爬。如果這樣下去，肯定明年的今天我的褲子，衣服通通要買過。
人到中年，不得不承認自己的體能已經不如往日。以前可以凌晨三四點才睡覺，第二天依然可以一大早就上班去。現在遲一些時候睡覺，肯定是熊貓眼上班！上班的時候，在公司就會不斷的打盹。簡單的結構設計偶爾也會出錯。偶爾工作加班，很快就會感冒，咳嗽。有人說男人三十而立，但是如此消耗自己的精力，我看不到四十整個身體就差不多了。看來我也不得不認老了。
看着慢慢長大的肚腩，我想是時候好好的調整自己的生活。重新把三十歲的活力找出來。

00005 怨鬼之家 Laddaland

昨天和朋友一起看了泰國恐怖片＂怨鬼之家＂。坦白一句話，這一齣117分鐘的恐怖片，給我的印象是泰國的鬼片是不是已經進入末期了？
早期的泰國恐怖片，都獲得相當不錯的好評，除了嚇人的技巧，恐怖的劇情，氣氛營造一流還有就是男女主角也相當不錯。不知道是不是伎倆用盡了，開始不覺的泰國鬼片有甚麼特別了。
這一套的鬼片也是如此。除了賣親情，基本上整套戲過於平淡。嚇人的技巧，觀眾也大概知道甚麼時候＂鬼＂就會出現。沒有了所謂的驚喜。花了8.50新幣，覺得有點失望。整齣戲除了小男主角討人喜愛，還有演釋女兒角色不錯之外，其他演員只能是差。

離開公司已經是午夜十二時。我的雇主還在公司里忙碌。我差不多把工作完成，選擇離開。

很少這樣午夜的時刻，還在公司里忙碌。如果不是最近的工程突然進來，我想我也沒有這樣的狼狽。雖然我把我主要的工作很早的時候就完成，但是同事的工作還是要幫忙他完成。

夜深人靜的牛車水，已經脫去他的繁華。剩下的只有寧靜陪伴著他。突然有點難以接受，吵鬧的鬧市，變成寧靜一片。就像在濃妝盛扮的女人，夜晚脫去她的裝扮。

午夜，在牛車水找計程車也不簡單。等了大約二十分鐘，找到了計程車，回家了。

SG0024 悄悄的我走了，正如我悄悄的來…

星期六的中午，艷陽給白雲遮住。厚厚的雲層，讓我看不到太陽的艷麗。雨後的大地，是多麼的清新。難得星期六，不是工作日，能夠舒舒服服的賴在床上。雖然有點不捨得工作的感覺，但是比起可以賴在床上，的確是舒服許多。

那一天中午，一位老朋友約了我出去吃飯。她是我中學認識到老朋友，我們彼此大概也認識將近十九年了。她比我更早過來新加坡工作。記得我初期過來新加坡面試的時候，印象最深的就是和她同了許多電話，她給了我許多的建議和資訊。想不到這次看到她的時候，竟然就是她要離開新加坡回去砂拉越老家工作。放下這裡多年的經營，為了一個女兒，決定離開這片土地。

我們見了面就先解決午飯。接著就到茶餐廳去閒聊。或許有一段時間沒有見面，大家就會有的沒的，拼命的聊。從東家聊到西家。就在我們聊得起勁的時候，突然有一幕畫面出現在我們面前。我們的座位靠近玻璃窗。隔著玻璃就是一條通道，所以外面來來往往的人都看到一清二楚。從其中一方走過來的是一個婦女推著她的孩子，而另外一方則是一位女傭推著一個老人家。他們就在我們面前交叉而過。朋友突然轉過頭來對我說，人很奇怪。小的時候就是這樣坐在嬰兒車裡被推。年老的時候也是被推，不過是在輪椅上。開始竟然和結束相似。人的一生難到就是這樣嗎？什麼時候，輪到我們變成輪椅上的那個人？

從世界的歷史來看，人的生命不過是短暫的。雖然每個個體的命運不一樣，但是上天一樣給予我們所有生命兩個共同點，就是出生和死亡。人的一生就是遊走在一個個體生命的開始和結束之間。每一個個體，或是每個生命就像是一場賭博。每個人的籌碼都不一樣，就是要看你這樣用你所擁有的籌碼去創造你的人生。有的人從沒有籌碼到身家百萬，有的人可以一生沒起沒落，有的人一生可以卻一生貧困。上天賦予我們的一生的長短不一樣，卻給我們機會去創造自己的一生。

她這麼一說，讓我想起徐志摩的一句話，悄悄的我走了，正如我悄悄的來。來到時候一樣，去的時候也一樣。在來和去的中間，我們做了什麼？生命的長短不是我們作為一個人可以去控制，但是生命的長闊高深卻是我們可以去建立的。

SG0023 My Memory

飛機在起飛後，我拿出離開家之前從家裡拿走的一疊舊相片。差不多有4寸後的相片，我一張一張的翻，一張一張的看。這30年的記憶，好多都寫在這些相片上。在我腦海裡，不斷的播放過去的片段。這些相片讓我重溫了我自己。從我小的時候，一直到我長大，相片把某段的記憶給凝固了起來，留了下來。

5月份的時候，趁著弟弟的婚禮，匆匆的回家鄉一趟。除了出席弟弟的婚姻之外，當然也看看爸爸媽媽。從新加坡國際機場乘坐虎航到吉隆坡，再轉機到砂拉越美里，一共花了6個小時的航程。星期六的婚禮，基本上沒有什麼和家人聊到天。大家都是在忙碌這個婚禮的進行。只是在中午的時段和家人與親戚稍微聊一聊天。

星期天下午收拾好行李，準備離開美里去吉隆坡。離開前，無意間看到一疊的舊相片。我拿起來看，那是我和家人過往的相片。由於家裡對相片的保管沒有什麼注重，好多的相片就因此流失了。我和我媽說，我要把這疊的相片拿去掃描，變成數碼版方便收藏。

我在飛機上看著這些的照片，每一張都勾起了我曾經的回憶。一張張發黃的相片記下了成長的路程。拿著這一疊相片，我突然問我自己每一次回家的時候，有沒有好好的記下家人的樣子？這些年來，一個人在外地漂泊，腦海裡，對家人的記憶不在像曾經那樣的多。很多的片段，都是每一次回家度假的時候，拼命的湊合起來。每一次回家都要更新這些曾經駐紮在我生命的人。

相片可以把某一個佈景記錄下來，但是相片無法代替我們的回憶。許多的回憶還是要我們自己用心的去記憶，才能一點一滴的烙印在我們的心中。每一段的過去都有一段的插曲可以讓我們用心的去學習，每一段的過去是為了要推動我們往前成長。

後記：這一輩子不可能有人會寫我的回憶錄，但是至少我可以為自己寫一些關於自己的故事，然後重新的反省，重新的上路。

SG0022 A Dinner with a friend…

星期天的新加坡，依然沒有從她的華麗脫去繁忙的面紗。下午從家裡出發到烏節路的健身房去健身。晚上很開心和一個朋友吃晚餐。我們互通簡訊一番後，就決定到Sushi Tei 去享用晚餐。從313坐地鐵，不到十分鐘的路程，就到達Raffles City Shopping Mall。我匆匆忙忙的趕著去會這個朋友一起吃晚餐（基本上有點遲到了）。點了4樣小菜之後，我們就邊吃邊聊。吃完之後，我們就到附近的星巴克去點了兩杯咖啡坐著聊天。這個朋友年紀稍微比我大幾年，可是年紀輕輕已經選擇退休了。

在很多的場合，特別是和朋友一起吃飯聊天的時候，通常我話題比較多。這次反而是我比較少話題，而我的朋友就和我聊了很多。朋友提醒我投資要趁早，也教我許多投資的概念。這一頓晚餐，我想那個價值不只在於壽司的價錢，至少超過那個價錢。在這次的交談，我學習了好多東西，包括基本投資的觀念，錢財的運作，還有學習的態度。和他的交談，他讓我想起我第一份工作。我第一份工作，是在一家顧問公司上班。這份工作的壓力，讓我只能在那裡待了大概一年就離開了。間中記得其中一位上司對我說過一句話。那個時候，初出茅廬因為很多東西都靠自己。小小的設計，往往我都是從基本的計算開始學習，間中就面對很多的問題。我這個上司很多時候就會給我很多的指點，讓我不用從最基本的東西學起，就能明白一些設計的原理。在我離開前，他留了我一句話給我：許多前輩花了一輩子的時間，學習設計，接著成為經驗。我們應該從他們身上學習這些經驗而不是自己自我摸索。就好比一個人走了四十年道路，我們這些年輕一輩的，不應該從四十年前的起初從頭開始走起。我們應該接著他們的道路，繼續走下去。一個國家可以進步，就是因為我們把前人的經驗繼續的累計下去，讓我們能夠繼續的建立這個國家。

見到這個朋友的時候，和他聊了大概三個小時多的時間，學了好多東西。他的經驗或許可以成為我學習的，對於不對，我不知道。至少這是他的人生經驗。多少我想他的經驗是我可以攝取或是學習的對象。或許提早退休的夢未免太大，不夠實際，但是我們一天不願意提起我們的第一步和虛心的接受別人的引導，這個夢永遠還是夢。

Sunday afternoon, I did my gym at orchard, the heading toward to Raffles City Shopping Mall to have my dinner with a friend at Sushi Tei. We ordered 4 dishes and have a nice gathering during the dinner. After dinner, we went to starbuck to have a cup of coffee. This friend is few years older than me but he already retired.

Normally, I am the one talk a lot during the gathering but this time, my friend he took the role. He shared a lot of things with me especially things regarding the investment, financial and learning attitude. Our conversation made me thought of my first job. When I was in my first job, I worked in a consultants company. I stayed there for a year and left because of the stress. I still remember that time I was just fresh graduated from the university and a lot of thing I have to learn from the scratch. My ex-boss always taught me a lot of design skill. Before I left the company, this boss shares a phrase with me. We had spent a lot of time to learn all the design skill, and it is our experience, now we shared it with you. You should take it as experience and proceed from there. It just like when people pass by every for 40 years. You should start everything all over again but proceed from where we stopped. By this, a country can be developed. I always remember this wherever I go. I always told myself to be humble to learn all news things from the senior or people who had more experience. By doing this, it may help us to short cut the learning process by reducing the failure and move our step even faster.

I chatted with this friend for about 3 hour, and learned a lot of things from him. His experience may be guidance to me to proceed. Whether all the experience workable on me or not, I am not sure but at least I know and I should consider to try it. It may be too ambitious to retire in the youngest age but it is not too late dream about it. The dream may come true only when we willing to move our first step and willing to listen to the guidance.

SG0021 Self Introduction Part 3/3

人生最後的自述會是什麼？除了一生人要不斷的更新我們的“履歷表”，我想應該是我們個人最後的悼詞。如果上天恩寵我，我希望祂可以讓我在與世長眠前，可以聽到我的悼文。我想知道到底我這個生命在世界上行走了這麼多年，別人對這個“我”會是一個怎樣的闡述呢？或許我聽到的是不到一百個字的感言，或許是一篇二十分鐘的悼詞。對我的悼詞長短充分的道出我這個人在世界依然存活的人心目中的價值和地位。“我”這一生人一直都是用第一人稱來寫“我”的自述，我想“我”期待聽到別人來寫一些關於 “我” 的東西。“我”對於自己的認識往往比任何人來的深，但是不代表我就能完全了解自己。作為“我”生命之外的第三者也許看“我”會比我看“我”更為的徹底。

我曾經有過這樣的經驗。我出席一次的面試，面試官就要求自我介紹。起初我很流利的介紹自己，如名字，年齡，學歷，工作經驗，然後我發現我慢慢的無法完全的表達自己。我自認對自己認識比別人多，但是我發現做簡單的自我介紹都可以讓我頭疼。我重新的檢討是否是我對自己過度的自信，還是其實我從來就不曾留意自己。

我的悼文，別人會怎樣的寫，我不知道。我閉上眼睛重新的看看自己過去的一生，數算我成長的歲月。我問我自己如果我要為自己寫這篇悼文，我要怎樣去寫？從呱呱落地，到今天坐在這裡思考這個問題，我的人生走了三十多年。這些年來，我是怎樣的成長。未來的日子到我嚥下最後一口氣，我又是怎樣的生活。從出世到今天，我學會過大家認為應該的生活。社會決定了這個生命應該怎樣活，所以我是按照社會的規範去成長。三十年來，我學習做社會認為我應該有的樣式。到底社會的存在是為了我，還是我是為了社會而存在。

若干年後，或許我的悼文會是如此。

他一個好孩子，因為他做了他父母心中的那個好角色。

他是好學生，因為他不曾讓老師失望。

他是個好同學，因為他成為同學中的榜樣。

他是一個好同事，因為他盡自己的本分去工作。

他是好父親，因為他撫養和教育孩子。

他是好丈夫，因為他盡了做丈夫的責任。

他是….

在走到人生最後的日子，我們或許發現我們的生命都是為了別人而活….人生前面的道路還有多長，我不知道，但至少我知道我今天還存在。人生有多精彩，不是能擁有什麼，而是你怎樣去詮釋你的角色。

What is our last self introduction? We will keep updating our “resume” throughout the year。 When come to final, I think should be our eulogy. If the God have a grace on me, I wish I can listen to my eulogy before I pass away. Who am “I” in the eyes of other people? They may use less than 100 words to describe me or they may take 20 minutes to talk about me. My eulogy will be the final comment from the peoples who know me long enough. I use to introduce myself in first person, and this is the time for me to listen how people think about me. May be what they know me more than I know myself.

I had such experience when I attend a interview in KL. The interviewer requests me to introduce myself. I started with my name, age, qualification, and slowly I found I have nothing to introduce to the interviewer. I thought I know myself well, but I found that I can’t really know how to present myself.

My eulogy, how will people write about it? I closed my eyes and in my mind, I think about my whole life, counting what had happened these years. If I am going to write my own eulogy, what will I write? From the moment I born, till the moment I sat on the ground thinking of this, I had gone through 30 years. How I grew up? What will I do in my future time from now on to the end of my life?

May be after many years later, my eulogy will be like this:

He had done his well to be a good son, because he does what his parent asked him to be,

He had done his well as a good student; because he did what his teacher want him to do,

He had done his well as a good classmate, because he become their role

He had done his well as a good colleague, because he finished his work all the time

He had done his well as a good father because he complete grow his children up

He had done his well as a husband because he had being a good husband

He had…

May be when we reach the end of our life, we may found that our whole life we live because of other but not for ourselves….how wonderful your life is not what you can grab in your life but how you interpreted your character in your life…

SG0020 Self Introduction Part 2/3

發現人越開始長大，就越會把自己隱藏起來。當我們知道我們某些一面不是社會能夠接受的時候，我們就開始把他深深的放在我們內心的某處。在我的自述裡，不會看到醜陋一面的我。作為“我”的作者，我會盡量把“我”寫得比較得體，不會刻意顯著我的好，卻是繞過我的醜。

離開小學以後，就沒有再寫我的自述這樣無聊的作文。在中學的歲月和大學的生涯裡，作文都是靠想像力還有非常水皮的語文能力來完成。還記得去年因為護照出了問題，必須用馬來文寫一封公函給有關當局，結果不到五百個字的書信，用了一天來完成。記得寫完了，準備呈交上去的時候，發現信件有語病，結果拿回家又重新修改過。也許這個時候我應該重新檢討我語言掌握的能力.

很多人沒有注意到，離開學校以後，我們還是要寫個人的自述。只是這個自述和小時候在學校裡的文章不一樣。那是一份為了工作需要的履歷表。個人的履歷表當然是把一個人的能力，強項寫下。讓對方參閱的時候，可以認識我們。但是履歷表是否就代表我這個人，就因人而異。在寫這份比較高檔次的自述時，人們學會利用文字來點綴自己。人們盡可能把自己最好的一面寫出來，甚至還會錦上添花的加了一些“材料”讓自己顯得比較有“料”。這樣的表達方式，讓我想起小紅帽裡頭那隻披著羊皮的狼。除去實有的樣貌外（有時還是假造的），剩下的都是人工的。

在今天這個快餐的社會裡，人們學會包裝自己。包裝成為一門重要的學科。所有的小黑狼必須學習如何把自己打扮成一隻小羊。不懂包裝的人，只能處處碰釘子。人們把不漂亮的東西藏在衣服下面，利用華麗的服飾把可以毀壞的軀殼給掩蓋。就像履歷表，人們把好的寫在紙張上，把不好的寫在膠擦下。

寫這篇文章的時候，其實是因為一個朋友想認識我。給了我留言。信中留言問我是否可以稍微介紹自己一下。我這樣的回答他，只要你用心認識我，時間會告訴你，我是一個怎樣的人。我不想給自己點綴什麼。畢竟我的“認為”不一定是他認同的“認為”。我可以說自己是一個務實的人，但是別人就不一定認為。認識一個人需要時間，而要認識“我”也是利用時間來認識。就像一段感情，時間是整個過程的橋樑。

We tent to hide ourselves when we grew up. When we found some values which is not accepted by our society, we will try to keep it somewhere inside our inner heart. When we try to describe ourselves, we will try to show the best of us and hide the ugly part of us.

After we left our primary school, I do believe most of us never wrote any essay like self introduction. I remembered last year when I have some problem with my passport, I need to write an appeal letter in Malay language, I took about one day to finish it. When I want to pass up the letter, I found there is some language mistake, I took it back and correct it again.

A lot of us never realized that we still need to write “self introduction” when we left our school. In fact we still need to write it but in other form – resume. We need to prepare a self introduction in resume format, write down all our skills and qualification in the proper way. This is to make sure that those who read our “self introduction” will know us better. Therefore we will try to put good things into the resume and kick all the bad point of us behind the paper. We will try to make our resume look more “delicious” by add on more “seasoning” into it. It makes me recall back the story about the wolf in the little red riding hood – act as a lamb with a sheepskin.

Today we need to know how to decorate ourselves. Those who don’t decorate themselves may face some problem in their living. With nice deco, one will look good externally and people may like him more than those people who show their real face. Hence people tend to hide the real self underneath the shirt and cover it with a nice dress.

I wrote all this because there is a friend who wanted to know me left me a message. He wanted me to introduce a bit about myself. I answer him in this way, time will tell me who I am when you willing to know me more. I don’t want to tell you how good I am, whereby I am not that kind of person. I may think I have that good character but some may disagree. A relationship need time to build and the time is the bridge to cross over the river to get to know me better.

SG0019 Self Introduction Part 1/3

最近開始重新寫一些文章來點綴一下我荒廢已久的部落格。絕大多數的文章都是我個人的感受。有些朋友經過我的部落格，看了就給我留言，甚至有些寫了自我接受的短信給我說想認識我。回信的時候，當然因為對方是新朋友，我都會稍微介紹自己。這個讓我想起小學的時候，上語文課時，老師喜歡叫我們寫我的自述。

打從認識文字開始，對作文就有點恐懼。所有的語文課都要學習寫作文。小學的作文那個時候至少要120個字左右。語文課最差的我，每每看到作文節的時候，就開始頭疼了起來。馬來西亞90年代的教育，主要是填鴨式的教育法。語文課老師喜歡找許多所謂不錯的文章交給學生，要求學生回家去背熟。這些硬生生的文章就這樣烙印在那個年代孩子的腦袋裡。幾乎每一年，開學不久（基於可能沒有什麼課題）老師總喜歡叫我們寫這個題目-我的自述。由於背熟太多自述的文章，結果就會發現原來每個同學的“背景”都差不多一樣。年復一年的學習，每年的“我的自述”差不多都一樣，只是多了一些形容的文字。

那個時候的文章，差不多每個同學的家庭都非常幸福美滿，有疼愛他們的家人。大家都有一樣的興趣就是閱讀，同樣工作就是上課。有共同喜歡的食物，共同的愛好。甚至連寵物的名字都一樣。大家寫的是記憶裡那些典範文章裡頭的我，而不是那個寫文章的我。

其實重新站在今天“我”這個角度去看當初我寫我的自述時，我發現那個時候的我，都是要符合老師和文章的要求來虛構自己的存在。當時的我，不一定就是生活裡頭的我。我盡量把自己虛構成老師和同學喜歡的人物。那個年代不是每個學生都愛閱讀，但是因為作文的要求，大家都變成愛讀書的一群。不是每個學生都有一對父母，但是因為作文的要求，變成有一對疼愛自己的父母。這樣的作文要求，是不是對孩子來說是個嚴苛的考驗。老師教會孩子美化自己？教會孩子用語言掩飾自己不美麗的一面。結果差不多全班同學的文章的格式和內容都大同小異，只是名字和對象會有一些差異。其實我從來沒有想過單親父母的孩子如何寫這樣的自述？一個長期受到虐待的孩子如何寫出這個美好的自述？最詭異的是，那個年代大家好像都認識阿裡，小華和木都。（馬來西亞的90年代小學的課本裡頭的主人翁，阿里是馬來人，小華是華人，木都是印度人）。

今天重新思考小時候寫我的自述這樣的文章時，其實那個我並不完全是我，裡頭的內容超過一半都是“純屬虛構”，但是和同學都是“如有雷同”。我認真的去思考那時候的教育沒有教會孩子如何面對自己，重新認識自己，然後建立一個健康的自己。孩子都是在老師認為下去建立一個討教育者歡心的形象。也許因為這樣的教育，人們從哪裡學會掩飾自己，虛構自己。

在文字裡，“我”沒有被正確的詮釋出來，“我”卻被社會的規範，約束了“我”應該活出的樣式。“我”就這樣的成長…

Lately I start to write some word in my blog. Most of the writings are more to my personal view. Some friend who read my blog, left me some message to me, some even write a simple self introduction to me. When I replied those mails, I will write a little bit self introduction to them. Writing self introduction lead me to think of when I was young in the primary school, my teacher use to ask us to write self introduction.

I don’t like to write essay, especially when I was in primary school, where we need to produce about 120 words essay. I am poor in language; therefore I don’t really like language class. During 90’s, Malaysia’s education system are more to spoon feeding system. Our teacher will find a lot of so call “good” essay and ask the student to memorize it. This essay later will become the role to all the essays we wrote. We use to be asked by teacher to write self introduction every year during the primary school days. The funny part is, whenever the teacher asked us to write some similar essay, the content of the essays are almost the same among the student.

Most of the content having similar idea, everybody have a happy family who care about us. Everyone have same hobby which is reading, same task which is schooling, same food and even the pet may have same name. Most of us when we write something about self introduction, we are more refer to the role essay in our memory instead of real “me”. What I found in these essays, we never truly describe ourselves. We will try to build a person who is quite similar to us but having good character in the essay to represent the real me. Not everybody like reading, not everybody has happy family, not everybody have a pet but we try to create something to make the essay more complete. In other word, we try to build another person who is much better than me to represent me in the essay. One may found that most of the essays are quite similar to each other except different name and storey order. The education system teaches us to beautify ourselves by create a new “me” in the essay. I wonder a person who came from single parent family or who have family problem, how they wrote these essays?

We never learn to know “ourselves” from the wordings; we being taught to follow what the culture want us to be and behave as what they want us to behave. We grow up in such way….

SG0018 端午節

記得在年紀小時候，每逢佳節來臨時，家裡就會煮得特別豐富。那是我們做孩子最期待的日子。那一天可能就會吃到一年裡吃不到的食物。端午節對我們來說也是如此。一般上父母都會在外面買了一些粽子回來吃。後來長大以後，媽媽學會裹粽子，每年的端午節就會吃到母親的粽子。後來我大學讀書的時候，每年端午節還是在家鄉度過。母親的粽子對我來說是多麼可口。那一顆顆的粽子，不是外面可以買到的。除了餡料足夠，蒸煮的時間和火候足夠，所以弄出來的粽子是多麼好吃。

大學畢業後，就沒有回家過端午節。由於在吉隆坡工作，一般上不會為了一個小節日特地乘坐兩個多小時的飛機回去家鄉吃粽子。由於想念媽媽的粽子，我開始學會自己裹粽子。我對烹飪的天份，老早就把母親的粽子學會了。在吉隆坡的五年的日子，差不多每年的端午節都是自己裹粽子吃，也把一些分給朋友，解解鄉愁。

今年是我第一年在新加坡過端午。沒有特別興奮，只是收到好多的端午祝賀語。今年也沒有自己裹粽子。一個人要裹一兩顆粽子，可能性不大，而且也不方便。結果我還是選擇購買一兩顆粽子來應節。雖然心裡想念家裡粽子的味道，但是除了想念，也不能做太多東西。

生命裡其實有好多東西當我們擁有的時候，我們還沒開始學會去珍惜。因為認為自己不可能失去他，所以不認為有必要去學習珍惜。有時候我覺得上天很可愛。他為了讓我們學會珍惜，他從我們身上開始慢慢的把這些拿走，直到有一天我們發現這些東西不見的時候，我們才開始驚覺在我們身邊的東西已經不在了。其實換一個角度來看，對於身邊的愛人，朋友和一切我們所擁有的，應該學習如何去珍惜。

這幾天開始收到朋友陸陸續續發來的端午賀語，心中一直閃過王维的一句詩句：獨在異鄉為異客，每逢佳節倍思親。這句詩句把我的心情寫了出來。

SG0017 We can change our thinking….

最近這幾天天天下雨。今天早上我出門上班前，就來了一場傾盆大雨。在我到達捷運站的時候，雨才開始嘩啦嘩啦的下。一路上聽到雨水拼命往著捷運打來，捷運的冷氣沒有因此而調低，所以顯得格外寒冷。路途上，我突然想起，前些日子朋友在facebook留言天氣太過炎熱，希望快快下雨。這幾天，老天天天下雨，他們又開始留言希望天晴。

記得在馬來西亞工作的時候，要天天開車去上班。遇到旱季的時候，灰塵就開始滿天飛。鄰國的煙霧又開始飄了過來。結果朋友見面的時候，就天天喊快點下雨。到了雨季，雨水特別多。結果到處都是水災。出門到處堵車。衣服又曬不干。朋友見面的時候，就喊快點天晴。

我在想老天其實也很難做。放了幾天炎熱的太陽，人們就吵著要雨天。給了雨天，又說要晴天。到底人要什麼？如果我是老天，我看我會按一塊雲朵在每個人的頭上。這樣要下雨，要晴天可以滿足個人的需要。

窗外的雨不斷的下，偶爾聽到車上的乘客埋怨下雨天。我想今天早上他的心情應該不會怎樣漂亮起來。我卻靜靜的坐在捷運裡，聽著打在捷運上的雨聲。難得一個早上可以遇到雨天。天氣不是人可以控制，但是我們可以控制我們的心情。何不換個心情去迎接它呢？與其把一個早上的心情打翻，不如好好的享受大雨的時刻。或許當你學會欣賞雨天的時候，你就會發現它的美麗。

Early in the morning, it was heavy rain when I was on my way to my office. The rain starts after I reached MRT station. The rain was getting heavier and the temperature of the air-con in the train never lower down. It made me felt cold. On my way, I suddenly recall that many of my friends recently left their status in Facebook saying that hoping rain is coming soon as the weather is too hot. However since these few days, rain seems like never stop, they start to complaint when the rain get stop.

I still remember when I worked in Malaysia; I need to drive to work. During the dry season, the dash fly around and the hash from the other country reach my country soon. Every time when we met our friend for gathering, some will keep saying hoping the rain is coming soon. When the raining season started, everywhere was flooding. The traffic jam in all the major roads and all the clothes cannot get dried. When people met up, complain again.

I was thinking that it is not easy to become God. Put a shining sun on the sky for few days, man asking for rain. Put the rain on, they ask for sun. What men really want? If I am the God, I wish to put a cloud on each person head so that the weather cans fulfil everybody needs.

The rain never stop, some passenger start complaining about the raining in the MRT. I guess he/she may have bad mood to start his/her day today. I enjoy sitting on the seat and listen to the raining sound. It is hardly to encounter a raining morning since I work in Singapore. We can’t control the weather, but we can control our emotion. Why can’t we change our mindset to accept a raining morning? Why not enjoy the raining moment and somehow you may found the beauty behind the raining day?

SG0016 The Moment with you….

星期一早上的新加坡，天氣就如過去幾天一樣，烏雲滿天。好像要下雨，但是就是看不到一滴雨下來。就如往常一樣，我帶著星期一的心情去上班。間中國外朋友突然來到我的gmail留言，告訴我很開心那一次能夠在吉隆坡見面。我回她說，每一次我回去，無論是吉隆坡或是家鄉，我都盡量安排時間見見我的老朋友。我珍惜每次相聚的機會，因為我把每次的見面當成最後的見面，我也許就沒有機會再見到他了。（結果沒有時間購物）

記得去年我一個人到清邁旅行的時候，遇到一個婦女。那一天是我逗留清邁的最後一天。那一天早上下著大雨。我騎著電單車隨便逛了市場，就到附近的星巴克喝咖啡。在享受香濃的咖啡的時候，進來了一個洋人婦女。她看過去大約四十多歲，頭髮濕濕的，點了杯咖啡就坐到我隔壁的座位。我給了她一個微笑，我們就彼此交談了起來。談話中，發現原來她一個人單獨的從美國過來清邁探望她的父親。她的父親在清邁遇到了一個女人娶了她就定居下來。這次因為父親生病，所以她就大老遠的從美國過來看她的爸爸。父親年老，不想回去美國，所以她必須從美國那邊乘了三十多個小時的飛機到達這裡。這樣一來一回就用了好多的時間，所以基本上很少到這裡探望父親。她說每一次的探望，就當是最後一次的探望，因此她就會珍惜每一次的相聚。她說這一次見了父親，下一次就不知道什麼時候還會回來清邁。畢竟人生無常，沒有人能夠預測自己能夠活到明天。也許今天離開清邁，父親明天就離開人間。這也許是最後一次的見面。她說的那些話深深的打動我的心。她讓我想起我們祖先那一代的命運。在年少的時候離開中國，到南洋工作。他們抱著也許有一天可以風風光光的回到自己的祖國，命運使他們一生留在南洋，從此一輩子沒有回去過。家鄉的父親和母親對他們來說永遠停留在他們離開的那個樣子。

那一次可以回到吉隆坡其中一個原因就是因為這個朋友剛好從香港過來出席一個研討會。那一天和她聊起的時候，發現我們認識了差不多兩年。記得認識她的時候，應該是去雲頂旅行的那一次，後來在新山見過一次，而這一次就在吉隆坡見面。我告訴她我珍惜這一段友情，所以我也願意從新加坡過來見見她。我或許不能每次回去都能見所有的朋友，但是我可以做的是珍惜每一次和我認識的朋友相聚。

Monday morning in Singapore, the weather was as usual. It looked like going to rain but not a single drop was found on the street. I started work as usual. A friend suddenly came across to my Gmail and left few words to me. She told me that she was great that we have chance to meet up during her time at Kuala Lumpur. I replied her said that I appreciated the moment I gather with my friend every time when I return to Kuala Lumpur or my home town. I will try to arrange my time to meet up my old friend. I treated every gathering as my last meet with my friend, that why I enjoy the moment. (This made me lost all my shopping time)

I still remember last year when I traveled alone to Chiang Mai, I met a women from America. It was raining day, and I spent my time at Starbuck with hot and nice coffee. A women can in after a while I found my sit. She ordered her drink and sat a place near to me. She gave me a smile and we chat with each other. From the conversation, I found this woman was travel alone from US to visit her father. Her father married a local women and settle down at Chiang Mai. Because her father was sick, that why she travel 30 over hours from US to Chiang Mai just to visit her father. She told me, because the traveling time was so time consuming, that why she appreciate every moment when she gather with her father. She treated the gathering as last gathering with her father each time she met her father. She said may be the next trip will be attending the funeral. Life is short and so unpredictable. We never know what will happen tomorrow. She made me recall our grandparents when they travel all the way down to South East Asia to work when they were young. They hope when they return to their mother land, they can bring better life to their parents. They never knew that, it was their last chance to see their parents. What they had in their mind is just the blur image of their parent at the young age.

This lady friend came to Kuala Lumpur to attending some seminar. I grabbed the opportunity to travel back hope to meet her up there. To my friends, I may not able to meet you all up every time I returned back to Kuala Lumpur, but I enjoy every moment I spent with you. I don’t know after several year later, would you still remember me as one of your friend in your life.

SG0015 A Call to my Mum…

昨天給媽媽打了電話。電話那頭，妹妹先接了。妹妹先更我聊了有的沒的，把家裡最近發生的事情先給我說一說。接著就弟弟接我的電話，也和我說了一些家裡的笑話才把電話給了媽媽。每一次和媽媽聊天的時候，她一定先問我吃了嗎？難得有時間打電話回家，能夠聊幾句就聊幾句。雖然每次撥電話回家很少和老爸聊天，媽媽都會先和我報告老爸的情況。然後就會開始我這個親戚講到那個親戚的故事。雖然我不在他們身邊，但是聽他們聊起這些故事的時候，總是那麼的好笑。有時候打電話回家其實不是真正想知道家裡發生什麼事情，只是心裡掛念某一個人的聲音。只是想聽聽他們的聲音。他們和我講的故事，我或許只會記得一些，但是他們的聲音我永遠記得。記得有一個朋友告訴我，以前父母還在的時候，經常在他面前嘮嘮叨叨。後來去世，沒有人和他嘮嘮叨叨。有時候還挺懷念他們的聲音。

很多時候，我們總會覺得別人擁有的比我們好，我們卻不知道我們擁有的也比許多人好。能夠聽到家人在身邊嘮叨其實就是一種福氣。至少他們還在你身邊，在你失去一切的時候，這個聲音還是會說，回來我身邊，我的孩子...

I made a phone call to my mum yesterday. My sister pickup my line and she talked quite a lot with me. She told me all the stories that happened at our house. Then later, my brother continues with the call by sharing me with other stories. After that, my mum picked up my line and first things she uses to ask me: “had your dinner already?” I use to call back to talk with my mum. I seldom talk much with my dad. However my mum will share with me about my dad and all the stories happened in our family. Sometime I call back home is not try to know what had happened in my family, it just I miss my family voice. I may not able remember all the stories they told me, but they voice, I always keep it in my heard. A friend of mine share with me, before his parents pass away, his parent use to whining with him. After they passed away, nobody whines with him. Sometime he misses the way his parents whining with him.

Love your family and appreciate them when they still around you, because when you lost everything, there always a sound telling you, come back home, my son.

SG0014 Why Quarrel…..

今天我比平時早到達我的家（其實也不早，只是15分鐘而已）。下捷運的時候，在出口看到一對夫婦。丈夫帶著兩個女兒在捷運站的出口等著他的太太。太太一見到丈夫就嚴厲的責問丈夫為什麼按掉他的電話。丈夫告訴太太說他不小心按到其他的鍵，所以無法聯繫到太太。我看到火頭不對勁，就匆匆的從他們身邊離開。到附近的水果攤買了我喜愛的橙就準備回家。回程中又經過這對夫婦的面前。兩個人在一旁抽煙。各自隔了一段距離。我隱隱聽到丈夫這樣對太太說：“難得帶孩子出來等你，你一見面就吵架。”我看到孩子在捷運的出口旁兩個人獨自的在玩耍。

回程中，我在想為什麼兩個人就是不能好好的坐下談談。做太太的為什麼一見面就用責問的語氣來和丈夫對話呢？如果電話無法接通，為什麼就不能再撥第二次？做丈夫的為什麼在不小心按掉太太的電話時，為什麼不能再撥一次電話給太太。

很多時候事情可以很簡單的處理。只是很多時候我們放不下我們內心的主權。我們很多時候就是認為自己完全對。我們處理事情的時候，就是要讓對方完全處於下風。要對方感到他完全錯，我們才能完全的罷休。或許我們認為我們戰勝了，但是往往把事情搞到亂七八糟來收藏，也顯示出我們是多麼愚蠢和沒有智慧。

學習冷靜的處理事情。事情都要他的兩面性。不一定都是不好。不同心態去面對，結果雖然一樣，但是你得到的感覺卻截然不同。同樣的一句話，不同的語氣，解決是事情雖然一樣，但是結果不一定一樣。

I reached Yishun slightly early than usual （15minutes early）. When I was at the exit of the MRT station, I saw a couple there. The husband brought their two daughters here to wait their mum who comes back from work. The wife who first saw her husband was spoken in loud queries her husband why turn off her call. Her husband told her that he accidentally presses the other button and the line was off. It seem like something going to happened, I quickly move over and went to buy fruit nearby. In the return, I saw them again. Both of them smoking and stand apart from each other. I heard the husband said: “ I seldom brought our children out and you once meet out want have row. I saw two little children playing alone at the side.

On my way back, I was thinking why both of them can’t really have a good talk about it. Why the wife must talk in such a way with her husband. If the line was cut off, dial again. It is not a big problem. If the husband accidentally presses the wrong button, why he can’t call back to his wife? Many reasons behind which I don’t know what were it, but the thing is why both of them just can’t talk properly before start quarrel with each other?

Things can be simple and it depend on to us how we solve it. A lot of time, we just can’t let go our ego. A lot of time we use to thing that we are right all the time. We want to make the opponent felt embrace at the end, only then we satisfy. However we never know that we use to make the situation getting worst and the relationship between us with the other people getting worst and worst.

We should learn how to put down our self. Solve the problem in calm. Same word, express in different way, it solve the same problem but it bring different result.

SG0013 Family Love

感動我的那一點…. The things touch my heart…

午餐的時候，天空一直下著雨。我帶著雨傘下到公司附近一個茶餐廳吃我的午餐。今天的午餐和往日沒有兩樣，為了減肥，還是吃清淡的食物。在享受我午餐的當兒，我對面座來了一群女人。一個是年老的阿嫲，三個中年阿嫂，和兩個少女。一群人嘻嘻哈哈的找個位置坐下就去點食物。他們看來不是來享用午餐，大概是來和下午茶。我的午餐時間通常是下午茶的時間，主要是避開人群罷了。

其實普通的食客一般上都不會引起別人的注意。可能是我無聊，沒事做，就一直注意他們。這一群女人看過去來自三代。我的判斷應該是親戚關係。引起我注意的是她們在喝茶的過程有講有笑。那兩個少女和那個阿嫲有談有笑，有時候親近她，有時告訴她一些東西。阿嫲看過去大概有七十左右吧，可是和那兩個少女（我想應該是她的孫女吧）有說有笑。孫女拿出電話，給阿嫲看電話的銀幕，那一種溫馨感動了我。好久好久沒有這樣的感動。在新加坡和吉隆坡這麼久很少看到三代坐在一起可以這樣有說有笑。我突然很感慨。

其實我很羨慕我身邊的朋友，住在家裡有家人陪伴。我一年回家一兩次。記得我離開家的時候，妹妹還是黃毛小丫頭，那個時候的她應該是小六。我一直沒有機會陪伴我妹妹成長。每一次的回家，看到的是她成長了一些，爸爸媽媽的頭髮又多了一些白頭髮。當年為了學業，我隻身離開家鄉，到吉隆坡深造。這一去，雖然斷斷續續都有回家看家人，但是卻沒有好好的留下陪伴他們。一直到前年妹妹過來吉隆坡深造的時候，已經是亭亭玉立的少女，媽媽也從少婦變成了阿嫂。爸爸也老了好多。最近開始發現他有好多的白頭髮。

可以留在家人身邊的，是一種福氣。有家人在身邊嘮叨也是一種福氣。很多人想要都沒有。記得最近有個馬來西亞的朋友在新加坡工作，為了家裡的奶奶，他決定放棄這裡的生活回去工作，順便陪奶奶。我雖然覺得放棄這裡的工作很可惜，但是家人就如他所說的比一切更重要。錢可以買很多東西，但是就是買不到親情。

天還在下著雨，我品嚐完我的咖啡。離開茶餐市，去買了兩杯杯溫溫的豆漿回去給我同事，溫暖一下有點冷的下午。離開的時候，我深深的祝福這個家庭，也告訴自己多給爸爸媽媽打電話和他們聊天。愛不是用嘴說，而是用行動來表現。

I was having my lunch alone in the raining afternoon. While having my usual meal (diet meal) I saw a group of people walking toward to my area. One old lady, three old unties and two young ladies. There were there for tea time.

May be I was so free; this group of people attracted me. Base on my judgment, there are from a family. While they having their drink, I saw the old lady was talking with two young ladies. The young ladies were showing some picture in the phone to the old lady and the old lady was laughing. They rather look like close friend than family. This scenario touched me. I hardly saw a few generations from a family sitting together have such a great time in the big city recent years when I move out from my hometown.

I am very envy of my friend. They stay with the family whereby I use to travel back to my hometown twice a year. I still remember the time when I left my family to further study in KL, my sister was in primary six. Every time I back to my hometown, I found my sister grew up a bit. I was a bit regret that for so many year I never grew up together with them. Every time, I back I found my mom getting older as well as my father. Staying together with family is a blessing. Some friends do comment that they don’t like their family members as their parents like to quarrel with them. I had a friend who recently moved back to Malaysia from Singapore because of his grandma. His grandma was old and he wants to have precious time with his grandma during her old age time. To him, family is more than everything. Money can buy a lot of things but not family.

I finished my coffee and went to buy 2 cup of warm soy bean drink for my colleague. Before I left, I bless this family and I reminded myself to call back often to my family. Love is an action…

今天早上上班的時候，公司的另外一個同事從家裡帶來了一包巧克力送給我。看到這些巧克力，我很開心。他告訴我這是他女兒從美國帶回來到巧克力，送了一些給我。原來灰灰的星期一早上，突然溫暖了起來。雖然東西不多，我卻看出他的關心和愛心。

記得每一次我出門回新加坡的時候，我都會帶一些外地的食物回來。很多時候，這些食物不是留給自己吃（怕肥），而是把它送給我身邊的朋友。這些食物無論是我喜歡的，或是我路過看到好吃的，我都會買一些回來新加坡。當然不是每個朋友我都會送，不然我可要安排一輛卡車來在這些食物了。每次的小手信都會送給不同的朋友。這次這個，下次就另外一個朋友。這些東西代表我的心意，也代表了朋友在我生命中的地位。東西的不一定貴重，重要的是朋友你在我心中，我一直掛念著。一份小小的心意，代表了我的關心，也代表我的謝意。

公司的就只有我和這個同事一起工作。很多時候，我們都會買一些東西給對方。同事很多時候都會在早上上班前去菜市場的小販中心買一些糕點給我吃。我吃飯的時候（都是一個人吃，因為我的同事不吃午餐）就會順便買一些豆漿或是豆腐花回來請他吃。有時候，小小的關心，可以讓彼此的關係更加的融洽。

人與人相處不外是彼此的關心，彼此的互動。少了互動，在這個冰冷的城市裡，我們還能擁有什麼？

Sg0011 Bad Experience At Challenger, Vivo City

I went to Vivo city yesterday. I was looking to buy a new MP3 Player. I stopped at BEST, a big electrical shop to check the price. The sale person was very friendly and answers all the questions I asked. I decided to check the price around at other shop. I stopped at “Challenger” which I thought that they are more choice and price may be good. I met a sale girl there. First she asked me about the price range I look for. Quickly, she show me a expensive player with no good quality as per mention by the previous shop. Anyway, I do ask the function of the player. The lady seem like don’t know the feature of the player. I was surprise and I asked in polite way, you suppose to know the specification as you take care of this department. The answer given from her is: “Our shop has so many products, how can I know everything?” She answered in very rude way.

Then I asked second question: what kind of movie file does the player support? This time, she answered me: WPE. I was shock again, new format? Then I ask the ladies, I never heard about the format, and the answer is: you never heard doesn’t mean it not exist. I was so shock how a sale person can answer a customer. In the other word she is trying to say that you such a stupid customer don’t act like you know everything. The worst part is, her colleague who is stand beside her, looking on her and never shows the help to me on the specification. After I can’t find any help, I left the shop and I went back to previous shop and get the MP3 Player from the shop.

It is not matter of the price but the service. Who want to buy something from a shop where have such bad customer service. When I try to point out to the lady, you should know the specification on the product you know, she is act like, if you don’t want to buy get away. Well, I hope this is last time I visit the shop at vivo.

If you happened to the Vivo, go to the counter they display all the GPRS product and MP3 product you will see that lady.

Facebook now become part of our life. People from different age who know how to use computer basically will have facebook account. Some people may not have facebook account but they still know what facebook is. The facebook population is getting more and more. One may open their facebook once a week when facebook just founded. Today, majority people will open their facebook once a day or sometime throughout the whole day. You may not like facebook but you cannot ignore the influence of the facebook to our society.

We cannot ignore the influences of the facebook to our daily life. If we change an angle and looking on mc Donald. What will happen to our world if today mc Donald shutting down. How many people will lose their job? How many people lost the place where they settle their breakfast and reading news paper their? Similarly to facebook, it already becomes part of our life. It help you to connect back all your friends, it help you to know what happened to your friends. Many people spent a lot of time to create a new application for facebook. Even today when you get to know somebody, you may ask do you have facebook.

站在4095米高的山上，終于征服了東南亞最高的山峰。那時候的心情是多么的興奮。記得小時候，總是在教科書上知道哥打京那巴魯山，卻一直沒有機會到過。雖然我的家鄉里那里不過是一個小時的航行，但是一直都沒有緣分去到。去年的年尾，一個雨季季節，毅然和3個朋友就這樣出發去登山。

站在山峰上，突然覺得人好渺小。刺骨的寒風，吹向我的臉頰。我的腦海一直不斷的思考。人生走了30年，來到這個階段，如果要為我做一個30年的總結，我可以寫什么？從小學，到中學，到大學，然后就出來工作。工作了五年，就是花在生活里頭忙忙碌碌。工作了五年，就活在工作的圈子里。記憶突然變得很模糊，沒有清晰的圖像。突然間問自己過去的30年我到底怎么過過來？未來的道路，我決定怎樣走？站在高山上，我告訴自己，在有生以年，我要好好的為自己活著。這樣保護拜拜浪費上天給我來人間兜一圈。

生命有很多等一下，往往在最后一口氣的時候，我們才發現生命已經沒有了“等一下”…..

Standing on the Kinabalu Mountain, I was so excited as finally I reached to the peak of the mountain. The weather is so cold that early morning. I stood on the peak and suddenly something came into my mind. If really want me to make a summary of my life for my past 30 years, what should I write? From primary school, secondary school, university and work, I found that I just busy with my life. Standing on the Kinabalu Mountain, I told myself, I should live for myself. Enjoy my life and know what I want in my life. Whether life is long or not, we never know. What we can do is value what he have and enjoy when we can.

SG0006 Proud to be Malaysian

Reading Malaysiakini becomes part of my life in Singapore, one of the channels I can have a look on what had happened in my country especially in the politic. Recently read a statement made by our Deputy Prime Minister, Malay First, Malaysian Second. I was so shocked where such a statement made by our Deputy Prime Minister who is the leader of our country. Is it so embarrasses to be Malaysian? Is so, when can “Malaysia’s” people unity to become Malaysian, a community that work together without racist to develop our country? Before independent, Singapore just likes Kuala Lumpur and Penang. But after 56 year, two country we start from the same line but Malaysia far behind the Singapore. Some people may said, Singapore is just an island, easy to manage. For Singapore government, it is not easy to manage an island size 710.2 km² that dense with 5 million people. They have to grab their head to manage such big amount of people within a small island. They may not do a very good job like some of the European country but to me, at least above the average. Looking backward to Malaysia, we have a lot of things compare with Singapore, yet we still far behind them.

I am Malaysian and I am proud to Malaysian. For more than 8 months I stayed in Singapore, when come to introduce myself to my new friends, I use to call myself as Malaysian. I never call myself as Malaysia’s Chinese. Even some of my friend from other country like Hong Kong or China, use to call us as Malay (they use to call Malaysian as Malay), I will tell them, not Malay but Malaysian.

當一個國家的人民失去了想象的共同體的時候，這個國家剩下的只有空殼。

SG 0005 MY Ex

It had been quite sometime looking someone to go for horror movie in Singapore, finally I found a friend who want to go for horror movie. It is not because I scared of the movie, sometime I like to go with some friends. We reached at Plaza Singapura on Sunday about 4:30 p.m and bought our ticket. The movie we watch was “The Ex”.

Basically the stories an actor who broke up with his pregnant girl friend and fall in love with others ladies. The pregnant ladies later committed suicide and she becomes the ghost who kills all his other girl friends.

Honestly, I though Thai horror movie will be quite scary. However this movie had disappointed me. We paid money for horror actually to be expected to be scared by the movie, but the movie never did this part successfully.

The movie more like using the sound effect to scare the audiences. It just a trick here. When come to certain moment when you felt sleepy suddenly a loud sound from the movie without any meanings
Story line too common, no creative at all. You will know what will happen next. The stories never made the audience felt like want to know what will happened next.
The movie actually happened with in 3 day time but the way the director presents the movie like happened many days already.
The reporter was dead without any reason at all. I still can’t understand why the ghost wanted to kill him.
a good horror movie must make the audience almost can’t breath, but The Ex fail to do so. I still remember when i first time watch Alien, I almost can’t breath when the alien start hunting the human. You just never know what will happen next. You will just hope that they are fine.

Overall Comment, no worth to have a watch if you like horror movie.

喜歡一個人走在新加坡的大街上，享受一個人的下午。我可以拿著一臺40D或是µ8000 就這樣邊走邊拍。廣大的城市，一個人走在艷陽下，帶著一點的寂寞和孤單，把心情攝在鏡頭。

I like to enjoy my whole afternoon carrying my 40D or µ8000 walking alone in the city. Together with my loneliness, I capture my feeling into the lens.

Same sceneries, different mood, interpretation will be different.

SG0003 Legion…..

I went for a movie called “Legion 《基督再臨》” with a friend at The Cathay. It was later Sunday afternoon but the cinema almost fully occupied.

About the movie:

After God loses faith in humanity, the archangel Michael (Paul Bettany), who has become a fallen angel, is the only one standing between mankind and Armageddon. This time using angels to execute the Last Judgment, God's wrath descends on Earth to exterminate the world's population. In a desperate, last-chance gambit, Michael leads a group of strangers in a small New Mexicodiner to become unlikely heroes to protect a young waitress (Adrianne Palicki). Ultimately, Michael sacrifices himself to protect Charlie and Jeep from Gabriel, but Gabriel catches up with them and tries to kill the baby, but is stopped by Michael who God has resurrected as an Archangel. Apparently Michael's actions have restored God's faith in humanity and he has given Michael a second chance. Michael defeats Gabriel and heads back to Heaven with him, leaving Jeep to protect Charlie and the baby who will grow up to lead humanity out of the darkness of the Apocalypse that has occurred.

Comment:

Don’t watch the movie from the view of religion although it use bible as the background of the movie. The story is more between how human face the angle and the demon.

I can’t said that this is a very good movie but you thinking of going for a movie, may be this can be one of your choice.

SG0002 To start to write….

It is always easy to start a writing for the first few lines, but when i try to further elaborate my writing, i found that my brain suddenly got blank. I found myself so difficult to complete a single essay after i left my secondary school. Thinking back those day in the secondary school, when i sat for the exam, i always able to finish an essay with 300++ words within 40 to 50 minutes. However coming to my age now, i found i don’t even can finish single essay with 100 words within 40 to 50 minutes. Why?

May be I am getting old….

May be I am getting useless….

May be i should read more and think more….

May be ……

Sharing a short story with you all.

Last year, before i came over to Singapore, i accidentally thrown my passport into laundry. My passport was damaged. I sent it to Immigration office. They asked me to write a formal appeal letter so that I can get a new copy of passport as early as possible. Now, the problem come. How am I going to write a formal letter? I forgot the format, the proper way of writing a formal letter. I quickly grab a sample of a formal letter from one of the office beside the Immigration Office. It took me about 4 hours to complete a simple formal letter. It was hard task for me as i have to use proper Malay language to write this letter. After I finished my letter, i was thinking about my writing skill. For me, this kind of letter when i was in secondary school, i should able finish it within one hour. However it took me more than 4 hours to completed it after i left my secondary school for 12 years.

I think this should be the time, i need to read more and write more to polish my writing skill.

Practice make perfect…..

SG0001 Beginning ….

It is time for me to begin my blogging life. Having to say that, i need to cut short a bit my gym time and my chatting time. I need to reserve sometime for me to do some writing here.

To continuing blogging throughout a year, is not an easy task as i can see I fail to do so during 2009, nevertheless this is a new beginning for me year 2010.

I wish to use this little space to share my life, my experience, my thought with those who read my writing.

This picture I took when I was at the peak of Kota Kinabalu Mountain. I was so excited when i reached the peak. After 7 hours walking a day before and 2 hours from 2:00 a.m in the morning, finally i reached the peak. I still remember when i started to go up to the peak, I nearly want to give up because of the breathing problem. However, I managed to overcome it and reached the peak around 4:45 a.m. Similarly to my blogging journey, I wish i won’t stop at here but i will keep doing it.

但愿能夠在有生命的歲月里，為自己留下一些回憶……

0905 Tauke, Kopi Galas

The first thing I did when I back to Kuala Lumpur was taking Malaysia food. It was Saturday morning; I fetched my sister together with my other friends we went to nearest restaurant having our breakfast. I ordered Hakka noodle and Kopi (Coffee with Milk). When they served the kopi before my Hakka noodle, I quickly tasted it. It was delicious. I almost 2 month times never tasted such delicious Kopi since I left Malaysia to Singapore.

As told by my Singaporean friends, it is not easy to find nice food in Singapore. A lot of them commented that Malaysia food is nicer than Singapore food. With only 1.40MYR I can get a nice kopi compare with 70sen SGD (1.70 MYR) in Singapore. I use to take kopi in Singapore since I work here. I found that the kopi were not that delicious. It has kopi color, kopi taste but too light. Compare with kopi bo (light coffee) in Malaysia, actually is much tasted nice than Singapore kopi. Maybe I should say a sky juice taste kopi. Anyway, I just took the kopi at China town and Yishun. I haven’t kopi at other place. My colleague, Singaporean who is 70 years old, told me that he love Malaysia coffee. I like coffee. For any country I went, I will taste their coffee. So far, I only found Vietnamese coffee tasted nice.

I was so excited when I took my first kopi in the early morning. I told my friends, I can’t imagine how delicious Malaysia food is. Now only I released that Malaysia actually have a lot of nice and delicious food compare with Singapore. I should share more about the food in Singapore with you in my next post.

P/S: A lot of people still don’t know what is Galas mean….. ha ha ha

0905 Selamat Pagi Malaysia

I reached KL early in the Saturday morning about 2:30 a.m. Home sweet home. This is my first time coming back to KL after working at Singapore for about one and the half month.

Before I left Yishun, I was wonder how jam at Woodlands and Malaysia Checkpoint. For many years, during the festival season, this place will queue out with a lot of people. It may take more than an hour to checkout at this point. Surprisingly, when I arrive at woodland and Malaysia checkpoint, the queue was short and within half an hour, I reached Johor. Together with my friend, we took a bus to my sister house to take my car. Unfortunately the car cannot start at all because it is out of batteries. I replace a new battery and depart from Johor about 11: 30 p.m.

Moving from Johor, I was expecting that there will be some jam at the toll area and Melaka exist as well as Seremban exists. However my prediction seem like wrong. There was no jam at all. It took me about 3 hour to reach KL. After sending my friend to Sri Petaling, I back to my old house. It is so sweet to see old my things here.

My holiday will start on 19 September until 21 September. I am going to meet all my friends in KL. On 21 September, while return to Johor, I will meet some friend at Johor as well. Well, Selamat pagi Malaysia… I miss you ….

0904 Never Compare

It was a hot afternoon. After having my lunch, together with my colleague we went to OG shopping mall for window shopping. This is what we use to do every day because there is no space in office for us to take a nap. We normally will take a walk before we return back to our office.

Today I went to men department. The whole departments are on sale. Most of the item will have 20% discount. I went to one section looking at the clothes that I like. I am interested with the price of the shirt. Looking at the price tag, I start to do price converting from Singapore dollar to Malaysia Ringgit.

After simple calculation, I found that majority items are quite expensive. I started getting interest on the selling price of the item in this department. Some similar item I bought in Malaysia, I still remember the price of that particular item are selling more expensive in Singapore

Many Malaysian after working in Singapore, still like to compare the selling price in Singapore with Malaysia. Somehow we always find the price in Malaysia was cheaper compare with the selling price in Singapore. At Ang Mo Kio, there is a famous roti canai shop. My friend told me, a single nice roti canai will cost you about 1.80 SGD which is equivalent to 4.4 MYR. I never take a roti canai that cost more than 2MYR in malaysia. To me, if you can find a roti canai in Malaysia that cost more than 2MYR, the taste must be very delicious or you being cheated by the shop or you take roti canai at high class hotel. 4.4 MYR you can get a good chicken rice in Malaysia.

Malaysian working in Singapore has to learn to accept the country rate. It is very difficult to stay here if we keep doing price comparing. We may able to get a nice chicken chop in Malaysia using 10MYR but in Singapore same value we may only able to get a wantan noodle or cha kueh tiao. However as per mention and reminded by my friend, earn Singapore dollar then pay Singapore price. The mentalities have to change.

Never Compare…..

P/S: KL Tey told me the exchange rate of SGD now rise to 2.46MYR. I am waiting to raise to 3.0MYR..

0903 Malaysia still Malaysia but where is Malaysian?

Happy Malaysia Day 16- September 2009.

Early in the morning when I open my email, I read news and from there only I remember it is Malaysia Day. For many Malaysian, I don’t think we all will remember when Malaysia Day is but we do remember when our National Day is. Even myself if I didn’t read my mails, I never realize that 16 September 2009 is Malaysia Day.

When I read the news, suddenly something came across to my mind. What happen to our generation today? Why such important date, we never remember it? What happen to our history teacher who supposes to let our generation know about the fact? We choose to forget it or we choose not to remember it? A lot of fact was taken out from our history book with the statement no enough space for these. Does it mean our generation should not know about it? Well, I don’t know. I let the answer to Malaysia politicians. They should know how to answer it.

Building up a nation is not easy especially when we come across with a multi races country. Every race has their need and culture. Each culture may differ or crash with other culture. We have found a point where we can mix it together to build up the nation. For pass 43 years, what did we do and what is the result? Today Malaysia still Malaysia but where is Malaysian?

43 year, Sarawak, Sabah and Singapore merge with Malaya to become Malaysia federation on 16 September 1963. Singapore came out from Malaysia after 6 years. Malaysian, are you proud to be Malaysian Or you just proud to be your own

0902 A Friend from Far ~ 有朋自遠方來

I was busy with my work today. Today I have to input again my plat form model as the client gave me the actual structure key plan to further work. About 6:00 p.m. I finished my modeling and did my final touch up. I received a message from a friend who came to Singapore for business trip. He tried to confirm with me the time and the place we are going to meet later. I seldom stayed in office after working hours but not for today. I needed to complete my model so that I can continue my work tomorrow early morning.

About 7:00 p.m. I left my office and walked to People Park Commercial Complex to meet up my friend there. When I reached there, I can’t find him. I sent a message to him and call him up. Both of us kept telling each other that we were at People Park. I spent about 15 minute to find him and finally I found him at People Park Center. There are few People Park in Singapore which is People Park Center, People Park Food Center and People Park Complex. We thought that we are at same People Park.

We went China town for dinner. While having our dinner, we talked about our life. We share our experience either our current company working life as well as in our previous company. He was my second friend who came over to Singapore from Kuala Lumpur and calls me out to have a drink. We talked about our ex colleague, trying to refresh our sweet memories of them. We talk about the industry, how the software performs in the industry. We talk about Singapore life as well as how I get adapted with the life style here.

Our life is full with uncertainty. We never know what will go to happen in next minute. I never thought that I will come over to Singapore and work here. Even during the early of July, I still thinking of taking my master course in Malaysia. I changed my mind at the end and decided to come over to Singapore. Something I learned and gained throughout the process, friendship. There are some friends who know I will come over to Singapore and purposely come over to my place to have a farewell drinks with me. They are some friends who called me from other country to cheer me up as they knew that I will go there and start to work alone. There is a friend who actually having his holiday chooses to come to Malaysia and spend part of his time with me and accompanied me to Singapore. As I am in Singapore, some of my friends from Malaysia they still keep contact with me. I received sms and calls from difference countries that always cheer me up when I felt lonely here.

Yen Kok, Thank you for the dinner and I am very happy as we can share a great time at china town by sharing our happiness and sadness about our life.

Like Chinese said “有朋自远方来，不亦乐乎”, isn’t it you felt happy when a friend to come over from the far to visit us?

For the over pass 29 years I celebrate my birthday at my hometown with my family members, then Kuala Lumpur with my friends and now this is the first year I celebrate my birthday in Singapore. For so many years, I celebrate my birthday with a lot of great friends who stay nearby me. Singapore is a new city to me, where my network still in a very small circle. Even I choose to celebrate my birthday in Singapore, doesn’t mean I am alone here. This year, my birthday is a great experience to me.

Facebook, is a place where my friend track my news. I would like to express my thanks to all my friends who drop a blessing to me. It cheers me up. Even though I am far from all my friends, but there still click my facebook and leave a message to me. My good friend, Tey KL, he left the first wishes in my facebook.

My boss, I would like to thanks him. On 11/9 early in the morning, actually I was late about 5 minute to the office. My boss was in. when he saw me, he quickly come out from the room. I was shock initially, thinking of what had happen. He walks out from his room and greet me a birthday wishes. Suddenly I felt very warm. I never expect my boss will came across me and wish me. This is my first birthday blessing on the early morning 11/09.

I received my first birthday call from Taiwan, Patch. He is my best friend there. Although he was busy with his movie acting, but yet he still call me out and sang the first birthday song to me. He gave me a birthday wish. Patch, all the best to your second movie. I am looking forward to watch your movie in Cinema. The moment when he called me up, he is rushing to read the movie script. Another 2 call was from my Laughing group GG and Audrey. These were the only call from oversea and I really thankful that I have such a nice friend who are concern about me. GG was the second person who call me up with birthday greeting and Audrey, she just back from Qatar but never forget about me.

A friend of mine, she told me she bought a present for me and ask me to go back to kl to collect it. That was my first birthday present. I would like to express my happiness and thanks to her, HH. This was my first birthday present. I can felt that even I am far from Malaysia but there are a lot of my good friends in Malaysia always remember of me.

A best friend of mine, DL took me for a great dinner at Changi Airport. We had a nice dinner there. We went to Pasta De Waraku. We took Mushroom Chicken Pasta, Mushroom Salmon Pizza, Salmon and Salad. The foods were really delicious, and I really like it, especially the Pizza. Even the price is a bit expensive but the foods really worth to eat. After dinner, we went to Coffee beam to have a nice drink there and chit chat there. Thanks DL, I have a great nice birthday dinner there. I really love it and enjoy it. This was my first time celebrate birthday in Singapore with such a nice meal and great time.

30 year old, is a new mile stone for me. My life journey is just beginning. There are still a lot of thing I need to explore and to learn. Should or not, I have to move on. As I told a friend of mine, everyday, you can choose to be happy or sad. It is up to you and nobody force you to be happy or sad. You make your decision and you should be happy with the decision you made. I choose to move on to discover my next journey, and how about you, my dear friends?

0304 Vietnam – Van Mieu

It was a raining day on the first day we reached Hanoi. We had to sit in the restaurant for a moment until the rain stop. None of us came out together with rain coat. We left it in our luggage at the hotel store room. About half an hour later, the rain stopped. We went back to the hotel to take our rain coat and proceeded to our next journey, Temple of Literature (Van Mieu). Temple of Literature is a temple of Confucius in Vietnam. This is one of the most ancient buildings.

Since it is located about 7km from our hotel, we have to look up a transport to move us there. Taking taxi at Hanoi is very expensive. Sometime they may charge you more especially to the tourist if you are not alert on the standard rate per trip. Instead of taking taxi, we choose another alternative. We took SE HOMME. Se Hoome is a service like taxi but using motorbike. At Hanoi, a motorbike can carry up to 3 adults. Motorbikes at Hanoi in term of size and function are same as other countries. The seats of the motorbikes are basically designed to carry 2 persons. However, Vietnamese are able to make it to carry extra passengers. 4 of us squeeze on two Se Homme. I seat together with Leong. I was the last person and Leong sat between the driver and me. Part of my “back” was hanging outside the motorbike. I had to hold Leong shoulder to preventing myself by falling down from the motorbike. We didn’t wear any helmet. In Hanoi, if you walk around at the city, you will find something very interesting, the function of the traffic light. Traffic lights at Hanoi are just a reference for the road user. You can choose to follow or just break the rule. The Se Homme driver drove his motorbike like no other people sitting behind him. He overtook a car in front of him without consider any car come from opposite direction. At that moment, I felt I need to top up my insurance premium. We paid 30000 VHD (1.75USD) for the service. Initially, we though the price was very cheap. Later we found out that they actually over charge us. For a short distance within about 7 km, 20000 VHD for 2 persons is much more enough.

We arrived at Temple of Literature about 3:00 p.m. It was a raining day. There were not many people visiting this temple. We bought the ticket. The entrance fee per person was 5000 VHD. On top of the entrance, you can see the name of the temple door, Van Mieu Men (Temple of Literature Entrance). Surprisingly it was written in Chinese Character. The entrance consist three doors, Main door, left door (左門) and right door (右門). Although the design of the temple quite similar with the Chinese temple, one thing I found interesting were no dragon carving on top of the roof. The only things on top of roof were the symbol of nature element. Dragons only appear on the roof at one of the worship building. Once you entered the temple, you will found there are a lot of Poinsettias at the road side. The surrounding area was well kept. The temple was divided into few zones. In old day, only specified people can enter into the temple. We saw some turtle’s statues called Dr Stelea carried a list of the name. These were the name of people who score the highest in the government exam long time ago. The temple was served as a University at that moment. This was the place to educate the scholar to help the government to rule the country. In the middle of the temple, there was a pond. After the pond, we reached to a building with some statue inside. The arrangement of the worship place was quite similar to the Chinese temple. However some item that use to worship the God were different that Chinese temple. For example the dragon shape was different than Chinese dragon. Most of the Vietnamese cannot understand Chinese characters. However the Chinese character was used in the temple. Vietnamese will label next to the Chinese character. When you read carefully the Vietnamese, you will found that the sound of the Vietnamese was close to the Mandarin.

At one of the building, there was a traditional music performance. I loved the way they play the instrument. It was great performance. The whole performance took about 20 minutes. Their musical instrument was made by bamboo. You should pay a visit at this section when you visit this temple. Beside the temple, there is a big bell and a big drum outside the temple.

Before we came out from the temple, I saw a group of university student wearing Vietnamese traditional suite. They also visit the temple. When we tried to take their picture, they made a post for us to take the picture. Wow, they looked great and sweet.

0303 Vietnam – First Vietnamese Food at Hanoi

Coming out from the hotel after settled our Sapa and Ha long Bay trip was about 12:30p.m. Each one of us was hungry. We asked Mr Mark for the direction on some of the famous place for the food at Hanoi. We walked to a shop near by the Hang Quat road to have our first Vietnamese meal. It was located at the end of the Hang Quat road. A long the road, you always can see a lot of people selling different things like flowers, foods, fruits and so on.

It is a double stories restaurant. The kitchen was located at ground floor and the dining room was on the first floor. The waiter serves us a set of English menu. It was good for us as none of us understand Vietnamese language.

I ordered a beef fried noodles with mineral water. My friends order chicken noodle (Pho Ga). We all felt excited as this is our first time at Vietnam (except Immy). While waiting our meals, we started taking photos around the restaurant. These were some of the picture we took from the restaurant.

My comment on the first Vietnamese food was good. The vegetable was fresh as well as the beef. The noodle was not much different with Malaysian noodle but the way they cooked makes the noodle tasty. However the price was a bit expensive. My beef fried noodle was 26000D (about 1.6USD). One of the experience I learn from a friend we knew during our trip, always ask for local menu as most of the Vietnamese shop always have 2 different set menus. One menu is for local people and the other menu is for tourist. The menu for the tourist normally will charge higher than local people.

0302 Vietnam – Arriving at Hanoi

Our flight was depart by 6:30 a.m. and arrived at Noi Bai Airport by 10:00 a.m. After taking our luggage, we walked to the exit to find available transport that can transfer us from the airport to Hanoi city. At Noi Bai airport, there are various type of transport one can take to transfer between airport and Hanoi City. By taking a taxi, it will cost you about 10 USD to 15 USD. If you are not sure the location of the place you want to go and you are in group of 4, it is advisable for you to take taxi. Beside taxi, one also can take Mini bus. Compare with Taxi, mini bus will cost 2 USD per person. Mini bus will transfer their passenger between Airport and Vietnam Airline Head office at Hanoi. If you travel alone, you can think of Mini bus. The problem of taking mini bus is the bus will only move when the bus is full. Sometime you need to wait for a moment until the bus full. The distance between airport and Vietnam Airline office is about 35km and it is about 45 minute driving time. We did some survey on the cost of transportation before we reach Hanoi. We managed to get 12 USD taxi fee from Airport to our preference hotel. Among four of us, each one of us paid only 3USD. One thing you should always alert is the exchange rate. In Hanoi, one can buy things using USD or Vietnam Dong. However the seller may not using the latest exchange rate for the pricing. For example, they may use 17000 Dong = 1 USD instead of 17600 Dong = 1 USD (actual exchange rate). You should alert on this because you may overcharge or sometime you can get things even cheaper.

Tips at Airport:

· Ask few quotation on the transport cost before you decided which one to go.

· You should always alert on the exchange rate between USD with Vietnam Dong and your countries currency.

· If any driver required you to pay the money first, ask for receive immediately after you paid.

About 10:30 a.m., we left the airport to Hanoi city. Their driver seat is located at left hand side inside the car. While car is moving, the driver will keep pressing car horn to give a signal to the motorists and car to give way to them. The highway and the normal was noisy not because of the car moving but sound from the horn. In Vietnam, if you wish to rent a car or motorbike, make sure you are brave enough to handle your vehicle on the road as most of them not follow the rule. I still remember when I wanted to cross a road at a junction, the traffic light shown that pedestrian can cross the road but the motorbike still cross over the road until we cross the road without depending on the traffic like. Our conclusion on the rule of the road is all traffic lights are just a reference, to stop or to move over is up to you.

From airport, we went straight to the hotel. Before coming to Hanoi, we did some research on the budget hotel, and Little Hanoi was one of our choices. From the web site, we found out that a lot of people gave a good comment on this hotel. From internet, you should able to able to get some good information on the accommodation either you want to go for luxury hotel or budget hotel. However my suggestion is not to book the hotel through internet or by phone. My friends had bad experience booking their hotel through internet. The room was difference with what they saw through internet. The staff told them that the room that they booked was taken by other people. The hotel staff changed their room to another room, and the quality was bad compare with the room they saw on internet. Therefore I suggest you can find the hotel when you reach at Hanoi but you need to list out those hotels that you interested.

Tips about Hotel:

Search hotel information from internet and read the commend from people who stayed there before

We reach little Hanoi Hotel but the hotel was full. The hotel staff brought us to another branch call Hotel Glory Hanoi. It was located at Hang Quat. We get the hotel room rental price and it is 15USD per room for 3 persons. Extra mattress we need to add 3USD. We also get the quotation for the trip at Sapa and Ha Long Bay. The good thing we have the itinerary is you can always negotiate with the tourist agency to get to the place you want at the good price. We manage to get Sapa package at 110USD which is included

Bus transfer to and from Hotel to Railway Station
Express to Lao Cai with 4 bed in a room (25USD per trip)
Bus to and from Lao Cai to Sapa (45minute to 1 hour driving time)
Breakfast at Royal Hotel, Lunch at Sapa valley, dinner and breakfast at home stay and lunch at last station before back to Sapa and dinner before get back to Lao Cai
A tour guide that can speak in English.

For the Halong Bay package, we manage to get 60USD which is included

Morning breakfast after back from Sapa
Bus to and from Ha long Bay (135km from Hanoi)
Lunch, dinner and breakfast on boat
Accommodation on boat (passport needed)
Ticket for cave
Kayaking

Since we book the package from the same hotel, we could leave our luggage at the hotel even we didn’t rent the room on the first day and they allowed us to take a shower before left Hanoi to Lao Cai

0301 Vietnam – Before Departure

2027 kilometers away from Kuala Lumpur, Hanoi, capital of Vietnam is a great city to visit. Every year thousands and thousands people from all over the world come to this ancient city. Peoples came to Hanoi not only because of the rich culture of the city, but also it beautiful scene surrounding the area.

I spent 7 days and 6 nights at Hanoi, Sapa, and Ha Long Bay. It was a great experience to visit all these places. I went to Hanoi with three of my friends. They are Leong, GeeGee and Immy.

Before departing from Malaysia, we did some study on the whole trip. We decided go for backpacker trip therefore we didn’t arrange our tour through any travelling agent either from Malaysia or from Hanoi. Each of us bought a Vietnam travel directory and spent some time on it. This is to fully understand the history, culture and the place that we plan to go. After we had a brief idea on the place we going to visit, we prepared our itineraries. The good thing of the itineraries is to make sure we can cover as many place as we can during our vacation. Before depart to Vietnam, we had a small gathering to discuss the itineraries we prepared. From the discussion, we did a small budget on the total expenses that we may need during the vacation by referring to the directory we read. By doing budgeting, we could able knew for every single cent we paid whether it is overpaid or in the reasonable price. We did check for the 10 days forecast at Hanoi, Sapa and Ha long to make sure we could plan well for our whole trip.

0204 Underworld 3 那一天

情人节的那天，没有什么节目，就应了朋友一起去看电影。

大家建议要看underworld，我其实没有什么冲动想看，但是看了电影的时间表，最终还是决定去看了。

下午5时正刚好达到戏院，匆匆的向柜台买下我们预订的戏票就到处走走。

我对这套戏没有太大的期待，不过又是一套人狼和僵尸片。不知怎么最近就是喜欢上映什么人狼，丧尸等电影题材。

后来从开始看到最后结束后，觉得这套戏拍的好不错。

其中一处的故事情节让我感触的很深，男主角和女主角的爱情。

如果是一般的爱情故事，那男主角和女主角的爱情故事就没有什么特别。

但是在这一套戏里，是人狼和僵尸的爱情。人狼和僵尸的爱情在故事里是不能被接受。

其实我不懂导演要在这里带出什么意义，我终究不是学艺术的。

但是我看到的就是这样的爱情是不能被接受的。我想当大家看到这一套戏的时候，觉得这一部分拍的很凄美。

也许大家就会问到底导演为什么要这样的设计故事。

两个人既然相爱就应该让他们爱下去。但是女主角还是死了。

如果仔細的看，你會發覺人狼和僵尸的愛情很特別。兩種不同的物種竟然可以相愛。

轉看今天的社會，多少的愛情是無法被社會接受？多少人還是偷偷摸摸的去愛。

当人们可以接受人狼和僵尸的爱情时，社会为什么不能接受这一些人呢？

人狼和僵尸的愛情，突破了同樣血緣的愛情給了我們什么啟發呢？

我想每个人心中都有一个答案。

P/s: 导演放了很多元素进去这套戏，比如父女的关系，宾主的关系，朋友的关系，不同物种的关系，有些地方演的很细致哦!

I went for a movie since I had not any special activities on the valentine’s day.

Everybody was suggested to watch underworld 3. I but after looking at the time schedule, i decided go for that movie.

We were reaching the cinema about 5 and went to collect our movie tickets at the collection counter.

I had no big expectation on this movie, since it just a story about vampires and werewolves. I just wonder why now a day there were a lot of movies about vampires and werewolves?

From the very beginning of the movie until the very last moment, i considered this movie a good movie.

one scenes that touch me was the love between the actor and the actress.

If this movie was just a normal ordinary movie, the love between the hero and the heroines was nothing surprise,

However the story fall between vampires and the werewolf. Their relationship was not accepted by the vampires community.

Actually I don’t know what the value brought by the director, as i am not a person who study in art.

But from the movie i found that the love between the vampire and the werewolf was not accepted by their community.

I am sure a lot of people will felt sympathy to the couple as the heroine was died then. I am sure a lot of people will ask why we can’t let them continue to love each other?

If you watch the movie, somehow if you think carefully, the love between both of them was really special. It is a love between 2 difference species,

There are a lot of the relationship in our society still cannot accept by the community. They have to love each other without knowing by the society.

What does the lesson we learn from love between the werewolf and the vampire?

Well, I don’t know.. but i knew that you will have the answer.

大雨來臨前，我看到屋頂上的一只麻雀，隨手就把它給攝了下來。

這只麻雀和身旁的麻雀不一樣。

其他的麻雀都在忙著吃地上的雜糧，可是它卻叼著干草。

天空的烏黑，沒有使它飛到地上和同伴一起找吃。

其實這幾天的大雨，很難再尋找到干草了。

然而它不斷的在帶著干草回到窩里去。

看著這一幕，我感觸

很深。

我在想大雨來臨時那些忙著吃的麻雀會在那里呢？

我們不知道什么時候暴風雨會來臨，

問題是我們什么時候已經為自己預備好了藏身處？

讓自己可以度過這場的大雨

一場經濟的風暴

讓許多人閃都閃不及

多少人因此而失業

多少人因此破產

多少人因此減薪

然而多少人在經濟好的時候

已經為自己預備好面對經濟的風暴？

失業不是問題，破產不是問題，減薪不是問題，

問題是我們曾否做好準備去面對？

我們可以學習象其他的麻雀

不用去理會暴風的來臨

繼續的隨便找生活

也可以學習這一只麻雀

在暴風雨來臨前為自己預備好地方可以度過這場大雨

生命里的風暴，我們是否隨時預備好自己去面對呢？

一個遠方的好朋友對我說，要為自己開始預備退休金，將來退休后還要一筆金錢可以用，不必依靠別人。

他讓我看到的就是麻雀的生命，未雨綢繆。

這體現出他認真看待自己的生命。而你呢？

Just before the rain started, I saw a sparrow on the roof, quickly I took the picture.

This sparrow was difference than the others.

The others were busy finding food to eat on the ground but this sparrow was holding a dried grass in its mouth.

The weather was getting worst, yet it never flew down to find the food as the others.

It was raining season at that time, and it is very difficult to find any dried grass.

I saw it holds the grass back to the net, and I felt touched.

I was thinking where the other sparrows will be when the rain starts.

We never knew when the storm comes, but are we ready prepared the places for us to get through the hard time?

When the economy crisis comes, a lot of people fail to get out from it.

Some lose their jobs, some bankrupt, some salaries was deducted.

But the question is, how many of us were ready ourselves when the economy is downed?

Losing jobs, bankrupt, salaries deducted were not a big deal, the issues is we never prepared ourselves to face is when economy working well.

We can be the other sparrows where their never care of the storm and stay as what they did previously or like this sparrow, prepare ourselves before the storm.

One of my friends told me, you need to prepare you retirement pension, so that you can survive after retire from the job and need not to depend to the others. From him, I can see how he did for his life, prepare umbrella before the storm.

小記：

那一天在飛機上迷迷糊糊的睡了兩個小時，也許是之前沒有好好的睡了。

我前前后后一共醒了好幾次，一直看到妹妹坐在身旁無法入睡。

也許她平時睡多了，所以這樣的情況無法入睡。我隨便和她哈拉幾句后又睡了。

那一天的天氣不怎么好，途中遇到一兩次的氣流。我睡著了，所以沒有什么感覺到。

其實那一天的心情不怎么漂亮，因為知道回家后，無法和一些朋友聯系，覺得很不舒服。

平時大家常常時不時在線上一起聊天，就這樣把感情建立了起來。可是要我突然超過兩個星期無法看到這些朋友，真的有點痛苦。

當然我知道這樣的心態也不對，因為這次的回家，其實都是要好好的陪爸爸媽媽還有奶奶。

當然在接下來的一個星期，由于下雨一個漂亮的新年就這樣糟蹋了，所以只好陪爸爸媽媽咯。

這一張相片是我在醒起來后拿起我的寶貝相機拍下的。在我的眼前是一片蔚藍的天空，在我的腳下是南中國海。

离开了圣乔治教堂之后，我们就继续沿着华盍路继续走。来到路的尾端时，我们转左进入椰脚街。我们绕过槟城高庭大厦看到一座雕像坐落在槟城地庭前面。这座雕像一共由4个尊雕像组成。雕像特别之处就是除了其中一个雕像是完整无缺之外，其余的都有缺陷。其中有一个缺头。我留意到每座雕像下都有刻上一个字，其中一个是公义。这座雕像乃是仿照希腊时期的作品。雕像下面，又刻着一些人头像，而这些的人头像其实我也不懂这些人像有什么意思。我们在那里逗留不久，主要是天开始下起雨来了。我们拍了几张照片就离开了。如果有机会来到这里记得要多照几张雕像的相片。我觉得这座雕像有其含义在里头，只是我们没有时间去好好的了解。

We walk along Lebuh Farquhar after short resting in front of St. George Church. When we came to the end of the road, we turned left in to Lebuh Pitt. We bypass the Penang Court and reach an effigy in front of the court. There were 4 statuaries to from the effigy. 3 of the statuary was partially damaged and another one still in the perfect condition. I found there was a word under the statuary. One of them was “Justice”. There are some human icons below the effigy. We took some pictures and left but didn’t stay there for long as raining was getting started. If you have a chance to pass by the place, kindly take some picture of this effigy. I do believe there are some reasons why the effigy was there, but we didn’t have much time to get to know about it.

从博物院出来以后，我们就继续沿着华盍街走。我们经过圣乔治教堂。这一栋圣公会的教堂拥有将近两百年的历史。在马来西亚已经很少看到这种典型的英国风格的教堂。宽阔的草原，给人有种回到上个世纪英国殖民时的风光。英国人当年于1818年把这间教堂建好。2007年，国家把这间教堂也列为其中一件国家遗产。我们没有进到教堂里头。我们停留在教堂外面拍照。在繁华的城市里，突然看到这么一间的教堂，教堂并没有给我一个格格不入的感觉，反而让我觉得她已经是槟城的一份子。如果将来有机会，希望可以到里头去看当年英国人是怎样的设计这间教堂。

After we came out from Penang Museum, we walked along Farquhar Lebuh. We passed by St. George Church. This Anglican Church is about 200 years old. In Malaysia, we seldom see this kind English style church. The field in front of the church will lead people feel like in the last century. This church was built by British at year 1818. In year 2007, the church was declared as one of the National Treasures of Malaysia. We stood in front of the church and took some pictures. Standing in middle of the concrete jungles, the church never give us a felt like it is not belong to this land, but it make me felt like it is part of Penang. I wished that I can go into the church in my next visit to see how the British design and built the church.

放下我们的行李，简短的休息后，看看时间已经是上午11时，我们决定离开了酒店。我们决定不开车，当务之急就是要找到旅游咨询中心。看了我们的地图，发现这个中心坐落在莱特街附近，我们就从槟榔路，靠着走路出发到该中心。我们经过了南华医院街，看到了天后宫（海南会馆）。既然到了我们就进去里头看看。首先吸引我的应该是它的大门和它的雕刻。非常精致。墙头的雕刻把许多神仙的故事都给讲述出来。大柱前有两只盘旋的龙，守护着大门。屋檐上的龙栩栩如生，这一种龙的摆法真的不同的庙有不同的摆法。龙的下面就有八仙和其他的神明。我们往里头看还有一些信徒在参拜。

We took rest while moving our luggage to the hotel room. As the clock showing 11, we decided come out from hotel and start our plan on the first day. We decided not to drive on that day. First thing we wanted to do were to get some tourist information from tourist information counter. Form our map, we found that the information centre was located at Lebuh Light. It was not too far from the hotel, so we walked there. From Penang Road, we walked into Serani Lane. We saw Hainan Temple was located at Serani Lane. We stopped and visit the temple. The first thing came into my eye was the carvings in front of the temple. The carvings showed the story of the Chinese gods. Two dragons were move in spiral along the column, seem like guard the temple. Two dragons fly on top of the roof and just little bit lower from the top roof; there were 8 gods and other gods on the roof.

离开了天后宫，我们就往前走经过了一家不错的宿舍旅店，打听到的价钱是马币50，双人房。从外头看到的现状，应该还蛮新。各位如果考虑廉价旅店，这一间旅店是可以考虑。我们没有逗留太久就继续往前走。到了爱情巷我们就往左转看到了圣济芳中学，当然我们没有进去里头。

We left the Haina Temple and further our journey. We found there were some budget hotels located along Serani Lane. The price was quite attractive. One of the budget hotels was giving RM50 per night for double single bed room. From the outer of the hotel, we found that the hotel was quite new. After a while looking at the rental of the budget hotel, we furthered our journey to Love Lane. Turning left from Serina Lane into Love lane, we saw St. Xavier Institution.

从爱情巷我们走入了华盍街就看到了槟城博物馆。如果从没有从正面看这一栋建筑物，很难从外头可以看得出是一间博物馆。特别之处的是博物馆的外头建了一个欧美式的花园，不懂的人还以为是独立洋房。热爱历史的我们肯定不会错过博物馆，人门票是马币5。进入博物馆，在楼上我们在可以了解到槟城的历史故事，楼下则比较多少文物或者是种族文化，由于博物馆不能拍照所以没有留下特别的照片。临走前，我们在柜台的簿子里留下我们的名字。柜台的一位先生顺手把一边槟城指南交了给我们，还告诉我们旅游咨询中心当天没有工作。这一本指南，对于要在三天跑完整个槟城的我们简直就是宝。靠着它，我们顺利的把槟城将近80%旅游景点参观。

From Love Lane we moved into Lebuh Farquhar, and we saw Penang Museum. If you didn’t really look at the building from the front side, I am sure that you will never know that it is a museum. It was an old Europe Building. The entrance of the museum was RM5.00. After we entered the museum, we read about the Penang history at the first floor and at the ground floor, we read about the difference race culture history. We didn’t take any photo in the museum as it is prohibited. Before we left the museum, we drop down our name in a booklet in front of the counter. The person in charge of the counter had given us a Penang travel guide. By using this guide, we manage to cover most of the tourist spot in the Penang within 3 days.

吃完了早餐，我们离开了茶餐室，还是到早市逛逛，看看槟城的早市的情景。这时候的人潮开始多了，出现人挤人的情况。走出来早市我们就在Campbel路逛，顺道找适合的酒店留宿。我们从Penang路的警局附近走到靠海的附近，一边观看街景。假期的槟城有点冷清，街上没有太多的行人。我们走过许多的酒吧，看到昨夜痕迹。一路上我们经过许多的建筑物包括印度庙。从外头看这家的印度庙，一点都不像印度庙，不过走近去看，就发觉原来里面的空间很大。我们停留在外头看看，没有进入里面。

离开了印度庙我们经过一间天主教堂。圣诞节当天应该没有聚会，因为没有看到任何人在教堂里头。忘了这间的教堂叫什么名字，印象中好像是圣若瑟教堂吧。旁边的圣若瑟之家就有一些人在那里探望那里的小孩。从教堂出来后，我们还是顺道是走下去一直到了Eastern Oriental Hotel。我们没有进去，知道这样高级的酒店还有后面的海景，房租应该也不便宜。绕过酒店我们到了酒店后面看看海景，由于天气阴暗，所以海上的景色有所保留。

我们开始打回头路，回到Penang路。我们决定先到Town House Hotel 询问酒店的房租。柜台的服务员告诉我们房租是RM92一个晚上，房间可以容纳三个人，一张单人床，一张双人床。看来价钱不错。我们要求先看房间，服务员就交了一把钥匙给我们，指示我们到我们的房间去看货版。看了房间，大家觉得这个价钱的房间是很合理，就决定租下三天。Townhous Hotel 设备虽然旧了一点，不过还是可以用的。而且还有冷气机，电视，热水供应和冰箱呢。RM92住三天，平均三个人一个人的住宿也只有RM92。服务员告诉我们半个小时后就可以入宿。才早上九点就可以入房间，真是太好了。离开了酒店，我到早市去买一双拖鞋，因为我新买的拖鞋坏了（那间店我想是我最后一次光顾了）。买了拖鞋，我们就开车到酒店去了。

After breakfast, we went back to the morning market for a short walk. Now the morning market start crowed. After came out from the morning market, we tried to find hotel at Campbel Road. From the police station at Penang road, we walk toward the end of the road which is facing the seaside. Early morning of the Christmas day, there was not many people on the street. We pass by a Hindu Temple. This Hindu temple was a bit different than the temple we know in other place. You just can’t really recognize that it is a Hindu temple until you go near to it. Further from Hindu temple, we walk into Roman Catholic Church, St Joseph Church (I guess). No service at that morning, however the home of St. Joseph was come with some visitor visited the children there.

Coming out from the church, we moved toward Eastern Oriental Hotel. We didn’t choose this hotel because from the out view, we expected the rental will be expensive as this hotel is facing sea side. We turned back to Penang road to find hotel. We decided to go to Town house hotel for surveying the rental. The room rental was RM92 per room. The receptionist gives a key to us to have a look of the room we going rent before we make up our mind. The room was come with one single bed and one double bed. It was just nice and it is full furniture. We decided to take the room as it is quite cheap and at the price of RM92, it is quite worth to stay there. The good things of the hotel is, we can check in 30 minute later which is 9:30 a.m. Leaving from hotel, we walked to morning market to buy my new slipper as my new slipper was broken. After this we went to get our car, drive to hotel to put all our items at the hotel.

清晨7点，我们就过了槟城大桥。其实我们三人都不熟悉槟城的道路。这是我们第一次在槟城内开车，一路上，我们靠着手上的地图直闯。过了槟城大桥我们决定先到乔治市去填饱肚子。由于不晓得的在那里可以寻找槟城美食，我们就决定到我们寻找旅馆的地点附近去吃。结果转来转去，我们竟然到了乔治市的早市。

下了车之后，我们先到早市去兜一兜。好久没有看到这样的早市。记忆中的早市好像在家乡看过，自从到了吉隆坡生活就没有什么到早市去了。由于时间不过时7时左右，所以市场上的人不太多，不是那么拥挤。我们从市场的一端走到最后一端，走马看花。接着就到附近的茶餐室吃早餐。

来到槟城，不可忘了品尝道地的咖哩面，虾面和槟城炒粿条。我叫了咖哩面，真的比吉隆坡的好吃多了。这里的食物除了好吃，还有价钱真的好便宜。我的大咖哩面只有RM2.50。天啊，在吉隆坡这样的分量至少要RM 4.00。真的值得去。虽然价钱便宜，我还是控制自己不要吃那么多，不然回到吉隆坡时大家就认不出我了。

About 7.00 a.m., we past Penang Bridge. Among three of us, nobody was familiar with Penang road. This was the first time we drove on the Penang Road. With the downloaded map, we try our luck to get into Penang. Our First target was George Town. We chose George Town because we didn’t know where can find delicious Penang food, therefore we decided to go to places near to the hotel to have our breakfast. We are quite lucky on that day as we can find the place easily and we reached George Town Morning Market.

After parking, we went to morning market to have a look. It had been long time I never saw morning market since I left my home town. For so many years staying at Kuala Lumpur, I seldom go to morning market. We work around the market for about 20 minute and we decided entering a restaurant for our breakfast.

Penang is a heaven of food. When you come to Penang, never forget Kari Noodle, Prawn Noodle, Penang Kueh Tiaw. I ordered Kari Noodle for that morning and it is really delicious. Most of the food were sold in cheap price. My Big Kari noodle was sold at the price RM 2.50 whereby at Kuala Lumpur , you have to pay about RM4.00. although the price was cheap, but I had to control myself not to take more food, else will get fat after I came back to Kuala Lumpur.

离开沙登应该是晚上九时半，我负责坐在司机旁陪司机聊天，另外一个朋友就在后面负责睡觉。由于我们的女司机有晕车的习惯，所以就让她开车，不然她晕车，我们另外两个就倒霉了。

汽车一路往北上，大约午夜十二时三十分左右到达了怡保。到了怡保，我们绝对不会忘记怡保芽菜鸡。过了怡保南部的收费站，我们马上就驾驶进入怡保市。靠着我模糊的怡保路线，终于不费力气到了非常有名的老黄芽菜鸡。享受后了芽菜鸡，我们就继续的往北上直到槟城。好不容易在凌晨三时左右我们过了Juru收费站。我们就把汽车驶入Juru收费站，停在路边休息睡觉一直到天亮。我们那天不决定把汽车驶入槟城第一怕没有地方可以停下汽车休息，第二，大家也已经非常的累了。

酷热的汽车，我们三人竟然可以睡着。直到清晨七点钟大家开始醒了，下车到厕所去梳洗。这是我第一次这样的旅行，好特别的体验。梳洗之后的我们，精神开始恢复了。槟城我们来了....

刚完成了槟城之旅，这是一个很不错的旅程。2008年十一月中的时候，突然和几个朋友决定要在2008年的圣诞节来一个bugdet Travel。大家基本上同意这次的旅程去槟城。来了西马这么多年，槟城其实真的没有好好的停下脚步去走走。刚升格为世界遗产的槟城，我想是时候要到槟城去旅行。既然这一次的旅程为budget tavel，很多东西我们就必须好好的预算。

离开出发前的一个星期，大家就出来见见面，顺道谈谈关于这一次的旅程。讨论的结果，我们期待三天三夜的开销尽量不要超过RM300。我想是我的习惯，很多东西都是到最后才开始去调查，结果我还没有真正的把要去的旅游景点圈出来，就已经要出发了，不过好在在一个网站上找到有一张很不错的地图，我们那几天的旅程都是靠那张地图去混。

到了要出发的前几天，其中一个朋友就发简讯给我，廉价酒店的完全被预订了，那我们可能要睡路边了。结果大家好像不在担心一个男生和两个女生要如何度过没有房间的三天三夜，大家还是拼了命都要去。还好到了最后的一天，朋友告诉终于预订了一间双人房间，看来三个人要想办法挤进去了。结果以防有任何突发事件找不到廉价酒店，我就决定带一个睡袋去，至少可以有个地方睡觉。

这是我们三个人第一次出外玩这种廉价旅行。

24号晚上很快就到了。终于到了我们要出发的晚上。其实当天我放了工之后回家，还去跑步跑了1个小时，才开始收拾我的旅行袋。收完之后大约八时十五分就到一个好朋友的家去聚餐。谢谢她给我们三个准备了好好吃的晚餐。吃完之后大家闲聊了一段时间。看时间也不早了，我们三人就开始驾着awanza出发了，开始我们的槟城之旅。

新的一年，新的希望。

经济低迷的2008年，转眼又步入2009年。

2009年你会有什么的计划？

花了将近的两个月自我的对话中，

我面对现实和梦想的挣扎，站在深谷的低处。

我问自己到底我这个作为社会里头一个生命的个体到底我这一生要的是什么？

到底活着是为了什么？

为了父母？为了传宗接代？为了买屋子？

为了使生活过得更好？

为了物质？为了孩子？

到底是为了什么？

如果我的这一生真的循着这样的目标去走，我愿意吗？

我到底是为了社会而活还是为了自己而活？为了让生命维持下去而工作？

到底这个生命，上天赐给我的生命是为了什么？如果这是我的一生，我甘心吗？

人的梦想是什么？到底我的生命需要规划吗？

今天这个我，明天的我会在哪里?

明年的我会在哪里？

五年后的我会在哪里？

十年后的我又会在哪里？

有朋友这么跟我说，明天是否还活着还不知道，何必这么执著呢？是执著吗？需要吗？如果今天是我人生的最后一天，我还有什么要做的？遗憾吗？后悔吗？

面对挣扎的自我的对话，走到2008年尾，重新的思考我的一生，打从妈妈怀胎到今天一个大男孩“我” 是谁？谁是“我”？一幕一幕的在我脑海里旋转，我的一生难到就是这样吗？

面对前途和梦想的挣扎，我毅然决定踏上深造的道路。许多朋友听到之后，很愕然，当然也包括我的亲人。身边有一个朋友真的很好，给我一个提醒，到底为了什么去深造？深造之后，又如何解决我面对的困境？到底我的梦想是什么？她知道这个决定很大，所以她要我好好的去思考。我想我需要为这些题目填上一个答案。给我一点时间，我应该会有答案。

站在这个时代，我觉得这个阶段的我需要不断的装备自己。今天我竞争的可以是身在这个国土的朋友，明天当全球化的到来，我面对的竞争会是谁？

深造是一条不简单的道路，生活需要调整。这应该是我今年最大的计划。希望这样的一个决定不是三分钟热度。当然什么会是时候，我想不会太远了。
